Children to Love Romania

Children to Love Romania Through relationships, we affect Romania today for tomorrow. ๏ Kingdom ministry takes all kinds of forms.

We
minister to orphaned, abandoned, abused and
disabled children, widows and families at risk. That
happens in a variety of ways depending on
situations and skills, Devalued people can be
anywhere, from countries far away to our own
neighborhoods. God calls us to be salt and light
wherever we are, at home and the ends of the Earth.
๏ Human trafficking devalues individuals and our work
is to fight

against that message by valuing people
๏ We strive to show context to visitors that explains
the needs of children. This goes way beyond simply
what people see.
๏ Our ministry is not centered to location or institution. We are focused on the life of the orphaned or
abandoned or devalued child and ministering to the
whole person.
๏ Needs are there but not always visible. It takes an
authentic relationship with someone to really
understand their needs.
๏ We do not separate our evangelical goals from
humanitarian goals. As followers of Jesus, we take
seriously His leadership in healing as well as
addressing spiritual needs.
๏ We support local leadership working to be Godly
agents of change in their own cultures. We do
encourage relationships and understanding via short
term missions teams and interns.
๏ We provide consistent ongoing ministry.
๏ We encourage transformational relationships based
on the concept that God’s Word and the actions
resulting from it are life-changing. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Today was a wonderful day as we enjoyed sweet fellowship at the church in Oltenița. Pastor Eric’s sermon about the Good Shepherd was a beautiful reminder of the care, love, and protection God faithfully shows to His flock.
Thank You, God, for Your constant guidance and faithful presence in our lives.

We are pleased to welcome John Penrose, president of Children to Love International, and Eric Van Scharrel, pastor of the St. John Lutheran Church in Bakersfield, to our ministry during these special days of fellowship and service. Their presence is a true encouragement to our team and community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to share in ministry together. We look forward to the meaningful conversations, spiritual encouragement, and shared vision that their visit brings, and we pray their time with us will be both fruitful and deeply blessed.

When you pour passion and love into children’s lives, the results are truly amazing! Their joy and achievements in the sewing workshops are a beautiful testament to the talent, capabilities, and skills of our wonderful children.
We are deeply grateful to the Lord for the blessing of having with us this week three wonderful ladies from the United States, who have brought so much dedication, warmth, and inspiration into our midst.

It’s that time of the year again when we are truly blessed by the presence and support of the Willmar team from Minnesota. One of their main goals is to help develop the children’s sewing skills and encourage them to discover their talents and potential.
But beyond learning a skill, the deeper mission is for every child to understand how precious, valuable, and loved they are, regardless of their circumstances or status.
Today, we feel this mission has truly been accomplished. Praise the Lord!

This past weekend, Andrea, our intern from the U.S., had the blessing of visiting a new city — Brasov. Not only was she able to experience the beauty of the city, but she also had the opportunity to spend meaningful time with two of the boys from Home of Hope.
Being in a smaller group created space for deeper conversations and genuine connection. Andrea was able to talk with them one-on-one, learn more about their personalities and interests, and build closer relationships.
Moments like these are such a beautiful reminder of the importance of fellowship and community. God created us to encourage one another, grow together, and reflect His love through authentic relationships. Andrea is truly thankful for the conversations, memories, and special time shared together this weekend.

Cristina is 12 years old and part of the ministry in Oltenița, and her journey of faith has taken a beautiful step forward. Recently, she attended a catechism class where she discovered more about what it truly means to have a personal relationship with God.
Through everything she learned and experienced, Cristina made an important decision—one that will shape her life in a meaningful way. With an open heart and full of faith, she chose to follow Jesus and publicly confessed this through water baptism. It’s a courageous and inspiring step, reflecting her sincere desire to live a life dedicated to God and to walk faithfully in His path.
We rejoice in her decision and trust that God will continue to guide, strengthen, and bless her each day. We are grateful to witness how He is working in the lives of our children.

When the children in our ministry grow up, kids we’ve known since they were just 9 or 10—and now we see them getting married, it really reminds us how quickly time passes.
Cristina, we love you so much, and we’re praying that the Lord will richly bless you as you begin this beautiful new chapter of your life.

Yesterday, we went to the hospital, specifically to the Oncology ward, and had the pleasure of working with more children than usual, as they were feeling well and wanted to relax by doing crafts or playing various games.

One of the mothers, upon seeing a craft where children could create a design with their name and include the verse Isaiah 43:1 was very touched. When we read the verse written on the sheet, she told us it gave her goosebumps.

Through our activities in the hospital, our main goal is to make God known to both the mothers and the children. At the same time, we hope to help them disconnect, relax, and forget their pain, even if only for a little while.

This week we will celebrate in Romania the Death and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and for us this is a great opportunity to share the Gospel with all the children in our program.
Because the teenagers view things with more maturity and can understand the message of Christ’s love more deeply, we challenged them to act out several moments from the biblical accounts of Jesus’ condemnation and crucifixion.
We were pleasantly surprised by the creativity and ingenuity the children showed in preparing their scenes.
Our desire is that these inspiring moments will remain imprinted in their minds, and that the Easter celebration will not be just a simple story, but one that has a real impact, helping them understand that Christ loves them and died to save them.
