Misiunea FOND este de a contribui la dezvoltarea si implementarea unei politici coerente si eficiente a Romaniei in domeniul cooperarii pentru dezvoltare internationala si ajutorului umanitar, de a creste capacitatea organizatiilor membre de a educa publicul larg cu privire la cooperarea pentru dezvoltare internationala, prin implementarea de proiecte si programe specifice, networking, instruire,

cercetare, dezvoltare de politici publice si activitati de advocacy. FOND is a representative, active and recognized Platform nationally and internationally. Its mission is to help developing and implementing a coherent and effective policy of Romania in international development cooperation and humanitarian aid field, to increase the capacity of member organisations to educate the general public on development cooperation by implementing projects and specific programs, networking, training sessions, research, public policy and advocacy activities.
