We are excited to announce an opportunity to attend the much-anticipated ICOP2027 conference, to be held April 2nd-4th, on the University of Warwick campus, lakeside venue “The Slate” in Coventry, United Kingdom!

ICOP2027 is hosted by the Ophthalmic Imaging Association (UK), working in collaboration with the Ophthalmic Photographers’ Society (US) and the Australian Institute of Medical & Biological Illustration (Australia). ICOP is traditionally held every 4 years, and builds, most recently, upon the success of ICOP 2023 Rotterdam, ICOP2017 Singapore and ICOP2014 Toronto meetings.

Delegates are encouraged to participate in the lecture program, which ranges from high caliber Keynote and Guest Speakers, through to the “New Voices” short talk session. A high level of audience participation and a warm welcome are guaranteed, whether you are a newbie to ICOP or a long-standing ICOP attendee. The program includes a Vendor Forum, Photo Exhibition and Gala Dinner.

We cordially invite you to attend ICOP2027 for a unique learning experience, to meet new colleagues and make new friends. Call for Papers coming soon!

Thanks to Trey Sullins III O.D. From Sullins Eye Care in Tennessee we have an amazing late onset CRX Cone Dystrophy with diagnosed age of 54 yrs old. A stunning display of multimodal imaging showing multifaceted we are in our ability to provide the puzzle pieces!

I have seen some INSANE cases come thru for the IRD photo of the month but Friday will have our number one winner. I’ve loved the interactions, messages and even questions coming thru. Keep them coming!

One of our past OPS Presidents Denice Barsness, CRA, COMT, ROUB, CDOS, FOPS, is living in London for a few months and visited the Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, where medical students once learned disease recognition through detailed anatomical teaching drawings long before photography existed!

These illustrations served as an early form of medical imaging — documenting pathology, guiding education, and improving patient care. For members of the Ophthalmic Photographers’ Society, it’s a meaningful reminder that today’s ophthalmic imagers continue a centuries-old tradition: using visual documentation to teach, preserve findings, and advance medicine.

Love all the entries we are getting for our IRD image of the month, keep them coming.
As a small side note, I wanted to post this Slit Lamp photo to show have having your pathology illuminated in different techniques can really help you get a good view how much damage has been caused. Now I want to see your Slit lamp photos below, send me the good, the bad and the ugly.
