Pentru copiii din cadrul proiectului ,,Scoala este super!”, finantat partial de United Way Romania , lectura nu este doar o activitate zilnica prin care isi imbogatesc vocabularul si abilitatile de literatie, ci si o modalitate de dezvoltare personala.
Textele citite d**a efectuarea temelor constituie un bun prilej pentru imbogatirea vocabularului si imbunatirea exprimarii, cat si pentru dezvoltarea comportamentala. In acest sens, copiii care au participat la activitatea ,,Copacul emotiilor”, care s-a desfasurat saptamana aceasta, au citit texte la prima vedere, au povestit ceea ce au inteles si au analizat impreuna comportamentele personajelor, identificand emotiile pe care acestea le-au transmis.

For the children participating in the "School is cool!" project, partially funded by United Way Romania , reading is not only a daily activity that enriches their vocabulary and literacy skills, but also a means of personal development.
The texts read after completing their homework are a good opportunity to enrich their vocabulary and improve their expression, as well as for behavioral development. In this sense, the children who participated in the "Tree of Emotions" activity, which took place this week, read texts at first sight, talked about what they understood, and analyzed the characters' behaviors together, identifying the emotions they conveyed.

Astazi, de Ziua Culturii Nationale, s-au implinit 176 de ani de la nasterea marelui poet, Mihai Eminescu.
Pentru ca ne dorim ca toti copiii de la Fundatia JOYO sa cunoasca si sa respecte valorile culturii romane, am organizat o serie de activitati prin care a fost omagiata opera marelui poet. In acest sens, am desfasurat sesiuni de lectura din vasta creatie eminesciana, am discutat cu copiii despre viata si opera ,,poetului nepereche” si am vizionat materiale video, care i-au adus pe copii mai aproape de opera marelui poet. Inspirati de lectura unor poezii despre natura, cei mici au incercat prin desen sa transpuna ideile poetului, in imagini sugestive.

Respectul pentru valorile nationale se invata si se transmite de la o generatie la alta, iar copiii din proiectele noastre se bucura de oportunitatile de invatare oferite de Fundatia JOYO.

Today, on National Culture Day, marks the 176th anniversary of the birth of the great poet, Mihai Eminescu.
Because we want all children at Fundatia JOYO to know and respect the values of Romanian culture, we organized a series of activities through which the great poet's work was honored. In this regard, we held reading sessions from Eminescu's vast creation, we discussed with the children about the life and work of the "peerless poet" and we watched videos, which brought the children closer to the great poet's work. Inspired by the reading of poems about nature, the little ones tried to translate the poet's ideas into suggestive images through drawing.
Respect for national values is learned and transmitted from one generation to another, and the children in our projects enjoy the learning opportunities offered by Fundatia JOYO .

Si in anul 2025, Fundatia JOYO a continuat, in cadrul proiectului ,,Scoala este super!”, parteneriatul cu United Way Romania . Prin activitatile derulate s-a urmarit si in acest an, pentru copiii din Centrul de Zi Casa Florian, prevenirea abandonului scolar, dezvoltarea abilitatilor de literatie si cresterea interesului pentru stiinta. Acestia au beneficiat de indrumare pedagogica pentru efectuarea temelor si studiu individual, zilnic de o masa calda si o gustare, consiliere psihologica si sociala, activitati de petrecere a timpului liber in centru sau in afara acestuia. Periodic, s-a completat necesarul de rechizite si materiale scolare, prin oferirea de kit-uri educationale.
Tinerii din proiect au participat la activitati de orientare scolara si vocationala, consiliere psihologica si sociala prin care s-a urmarit dezvoltarea abilitatilor transferabile necesare unui loc de munca. Diplomele obtinute la finalizarea cursurilor de calificare au marit sansele de integrare socio-profesionala si de acces la o viata independenta.
De asemenea, in proiectul ,,Scoala este super!” au participat profesori de la scolile in care invata copiii si voluntari. Cu totii au avut un aport important in activitatile derulate cu copiii precum si in alte activitati organizate in cadrul proiectului.
Rezultatele obtinute au contribuit la prevenirea abandonului scolar, prin mentinerea si cresterea accesului la educatie a copiilor proveniti din medii dezavantajate, cat si la integrarea socio-profesionala si cresterea sanselor de acces la o viata independenta a tinerilor.

In prag de sarbatori, dorim sa multumim din inima colegilor nostri de la Fundatia United Way Romania, finantator partial al proiectului nostru socio-educational “Scoala este super!”, pentru sprijinul constant si pentru generozitatea fata de copiii din proiect.
Prin grija echipei United Way, cei 80 de copii din proiect au primit, plini de emotie, cate un cadou de Craciun. Mai mult decat daruri, aceste gesturi inseamna pentru copii, incredere, sanse egale si motivatia de a merge mai departe pe drumul educatiei.
Multumim din suflet United Way Romania pentru toate eforturile voastre si pentru ca transformati sarbatorile in momente memorabile pentru copiii din centrul “Casa Florian”!

As the holidays approach, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our colleagues at the United Way Romania Foundation, partial funder of our socio-educational project "School is Cool!", for their constant support and generosity towards the children in the project.
Thanks to the United Way team, the 80 children in the project were thrilled to receive a Christmas gift. More than just gifts, these gestures mean trust, equal opportunities, and motivation for the children to continue on their educational journey.

Magia Craciunului prinde viata prin oameni!
In aceasta perioada speciala, membrii echipei Deutsche Bank Global Technology au ales sa daruiasca din suflet, pregatind cu multa grija si bucurie cadouri de Craciun pentru cei 116 copii din cele doua centre de zi ale Fundatiei JOYO. Fiecare pachet a fost pregatit cu gandul de a aduce zambete, speranta si bucurie copiilor care merita si ei un Craciun frumos.
Le suntem recunoscatori tuturor celor care s-au implicat cu generozitate si au demonstrat inca o data ca impreuna putem face bine si putem aduce bucurie prin gesturi simple.
Va multumim dragi oameni cu suflet mare de la Deutsche Bank Global Technology!

The magic of Christmas comes to life through people!
During this special time, the members of the Deutsche Bank Global Technology team chose to give from the heart, preparing with great care and joy Christmas gifts for the 116 children from the two day care centers of Fundatia JOYO. Each package was prepared with the thought of bringing smiles, hope and joy to the children who also deserve a beautiful Christmas.
We are grateful to all those who generously got involved and demonstrated once again that together we can do good and bring joy through simple gestures.

Cu multa generozitate, elevii si profesorii Colegiului National Grigore Moisil au demonstrat inca o data, ca solidaritatea si empatia sunt valori de nepretuit in comunitate. Acestia s-au implicat cu tot sufletul in proiectul “Ajutoarele lui Mos Craciun” – editia a IV-a, proiect menit sa-i bucure de sarbatori pe copiii din centrul social de zi Casa Sebastian al Fundatiei JOYO. Elevii au pregatit cu multa daruire cadouri minunate pentru cei 36 de copii care ii asteptau cu nerabdare. La aceasta activitate, s-a alaturat cu generozitate si echipa de arhitecti de la AB Proiect & Design, care a adus cadouri pentru cei mai mici dintre copii.
Multumim mult tuturor acestor ‘’spiridusi,, ai lui Mos Craciun si coordonatorului neobosit al activitatii, doamna profesor Carmen Onu, pentru bucuria adusa copiilor!

With great generosity, the students and teachers of the Grigore Moisil National College have demonstrated once again that solidarity and empathy are invaluable values in the community. They have been involved wholeheartedly in the project “Santa’s Helpers” – the 4th edition, a project designed to bring joy to the holidays for the children of the Casa Sebastian social day center of Fundatia JOYO . The students have prepared wonderful gifts with great dedication for the 36 children who were eagerly waiting for them. The team of architects from AB Proiect & Design also generously joined this activity, bringing gifts for the youngest children.
Many thanks to all these “elves” of Santa Claus and the tireless coordinator of the activity, Mrs. Professor Carmen Onu, for the joy brought to the children!

In cadrul proiectului ,,Scoala este super!”, finantat partial de United Way Romania , activitatea de efectuare a temelor nu este doar o sarcina primita de la scoala, ci o modalitate prin care copiii sunt ajutati de pedagogii sociali sa inteleaga rolul efectiv al temelor in parcursul scolar, pentru promovarea clasei, dar si pentru pregatirea profesionala viitoare. Indrumarea pedagogica este acordata individual, sub diverse forme, in functie de nivelul clasei si de nevoia de recuperare scolara a fiecarui copil. Prin interventii constante, pedagogii sociali ofera sprijin, rabdare si incurajare. A-i acompania pe copii pe drumul dificil al procesului de invatare cere empatie, motivatie si dedicare, pe scurt, abilitati profesionale si personale pe care membrii echipei de proiect le demonstreaza zilnic in lucrul cu copiii. Iar rezultatele copiilor o dovedesc cu prisosinta!

Within the project "School is cool!", partially financed by United Way Romania, the homework activity is not just a task received from the school, but a way in which children are helped by social pedagogues to understand the effective role of homework in the school process, for class promotion, but also for future professional training. Pedagogical guidance is provided individually, in various forms, depending on the class level and the need for school recovery of each child. Through constant interventions, social pedagogues offer support, patience and encouragement. Accompanying children on the difficult path of the learning process requires empathy, motivation and dedication, in short, professional and personal skills that the project team members demonstrate daily in working with children. And the children's results prove it abundantly!

Siguranta copiilor – o prioritate pentru noi!
La finalul saptamanii trecute, o parte din echipa Fundatiei JOYO a participat la un curs de prim ajutor, o experienta valoroasa si extrem de necesara pentru activitatea zilnica cu copiii si nu numai.
Am invatat si exersat manevre esentiale salvarii unei vieti: de la resuscitare si pozitia de siguranta, pana la ingrijirea ranilor, interventii rapide in situatii de urgenta, recunoasterea semnelor unui AVC sau infarct. Toate aceste competente sunt fundamentale pentru a putea oferi sprijin in mod responsabil si profesionist celor 116 copii din cele doua centre de zi, Casa Florian si Casa Sebastian, ale fundatiei noastre.
Pentru noi, formarea continua reprezinta o prioritate si in acelasi timp un angajament ca suntem pregatiti si ca actionam corect, contribuind in acest fel la un mediu mai sigur pentru copiii nostri.
Multumim FONSS pentru aceasta oportunitate!

Children's safety – a priority for us!
At the end of last week, part of Fundatia JOYO team participated in a first aid course, a valuable and extremely necessary experience for daily work with children and beyond.
We learned and practiced essential maneuvers to save a life: from resuscitation and the safety position, to wound care, rapid intervention in emergency situations, recognizing the signs of a stroke or heart attack. All these skills are fundamental to be able to provide responsible and professional support to the 116 children in the two day care centers, Casa Florian and Casa Sebastian, of our foundation.
For us, continuous training is a priority and at the same time a commitment that we are prepared and that we act correctly, thus contributing to a safer environment for our children.

Adoptarea Conventiei ONU cu privire la Drepturile Copilului pe 20 noiembrie 1989, a fost marcata saptamana trecuta in ambele centre ale Fundatiei JOYO, printr-o serie de activitati dedicate cunoasterii drepturilor si a consecintelor nerespectarii acestora.
Workshop-urile in care copiii s-au implicat cu mare interes, au condus la o mai buna intelegere a legaturii dintre drepturi si responsabilitati. Organizati in grupuri mai mici sau mai mari, copiii au dezbatut aspecte relevante ale fiecarui drept in parte si au dat exemple de respectare a acestora in viata de zi cu zi. Cei mai mici dintre copii au ales sa-si exprime gandurile prin desene pe aceeasi tema. Altii au simtit nevoia, ca, inainte de 20 noiembrie, sa se informeze cat mai bine din mediul online.
Cu totii au incheiat saptamana mai informati privind drepturile care le sunt asigurate, dar si mai constienti ca nu toti copiii din aceasta lume au aceasta sansa.

The adoption of the ONU Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20, 1989, was marked last week in both Fundatia JOYO centers through a series of activities dedicated to learning about rights and the consequences of not respecting them.
The workshops, in which the children participated with great interest, led to a better understanding of the link between rights and responsibilities. Organized in smaller or larger groups, the children discussed relevant aspects of each right and gave examples of how they are respected in everyday life. The youngest children chose to express their thoughts through drawings on the same theme. Others felt the need to learn as much as possible online before November 20.
They all ended the week more informed about their rights, but also more aware that not all children in the world have this opportunity.

Weekend-ul trecut, a adus copiilor din cele doua centre ale Fundatiei JOYO, o mare bucurie: o excursie plina de activitati interesante, in judetul Arges, la ,,Mesterul olar”. Acolo au gasit un loc minunat, plin de ospitalitate, traditie populara si aventura.
Intr-un cadru natural deosebit, copiii s-au bucurat clipa de clipa, de toata oferta de activitati atractive, pusa la dispozitie cu pricepere si rabdare de gazdele primitoare.
Primul punct de atractie l-a reprezentat atelierul de olarit, care le-a oferit pe rand membrilor intregului grup, atat informatii despre acest mestesug stravechi, cat si posibilitatea inedita de a exersa la roata olarului, transformarea unui bulgare de lut intr-un obiect util, sub atenta indrumare a mesterilor populari.
Activitatile de tir cu arcul, tiroliana si traseul aplicativ plin de adrenalina, i-au captivat si i-au entuziasmat pe copii.
De la ,,Mesterul olar”, pe seara, copiii au adus la Bucuresti, nu doar obiectele din lut, lucrate de ei, dar si multe amintiri ale experientelor de neuitat.
Multumim donatorilor care au oferit copiilor aceasta excursie minunata!

Last weekend brought great joy to the children from the two centers of Fundatia JOYO: a trip full of interesting activities, in Arges County, to the "Master Potter". There they found a wonderful place, full of hospitality, folk tradition, and adventure.
In a special natural setting, the children enjoyed every moment of the whole offer of attractive activities, made available with skill and patience by the welcoming hosts.
The first point of attraction was the pottery workshop, which offered the members of the entire group, in turn, both information about this ancient craft, and the unique opportunity to practice on the potter's wheel, transforming a lump of clay into a useful object, under the careful guidance of folk craftsmen.
The archery activities, the zip line and the adrenaline-filled applicative route captivated and excited the children.
From "The Potter Master" in the evening, the children brought to Bucharest, not only the clay objects they made, but also many memories of unforgettable experiences.
We thank the donors who offered the children this wonderful trip!

In acest an, copiii defavorizati de la Fundatia JOYO au beneficiat de un suport important din partea DB Global Technology, centrul de dezvoltare software al Deutsche Bank din Bucuresti.
Sprijinul oferit a avut un impact semnificativ asupra calitatii vietii copiilor din cele doua centre sociale ale fundatiei, contribuind la facilitarea accesului la educatie si la prevenirea abandonului scolar.
Totodata, un grup de voluntari, angajati ai DB Global Techology, s-au implicat in "Clubul de lectura", ajutand copiii sa descopere placerea cititului. Timpul de calitate petrecut impreuna a insemnat pentru copii un prilej de a-si dezvolta vocabularul, de a intelege structura unui text, de a-si exprima gandurile si sentimentele. Voluntarii i-au incurajat pe copii sa acorde importanta educatiei si le-au oferit modele pozitive de dezvoltare personale.
Multumim companiei DB Global Technology si angajatilor acesteia pentru sprijin si implicare in programul socio-educational al organizatiei noastre!

This year, disadvantaged children at Fundatia JOYO benefited from important support from DB Global Technology, Deutsche Bank's software development center in Bucharest.
The support provided had a significant impact on the quality of life of children in the foundation's two social centers, contributing to facilitating access to education and preventing school dropout.
At the same time, a group of volunteers, employees of DB Global Technology, got involved in the "Reading Club", helping children discover the pleasure of reading. The quality time spent together meant an opportunity for the children to develop their vocabulary, understand the structure of a text, and express their thoughts and feelings. The volunteers encouraged the children to attach importance to education and offered them positive models of personal development.
We thank DB Global Technology and its employees for their support and involvement in the socio-educational program of our organization!
