Toamna vine pentru copii nu doar cu inceputul scolii, ci si cu implicare in multe activitati educationale specifice acestui anotimp, derulate in Casa Florian. In luna septembrie, copiii din proiectul "Scoala este super!", finantat partial de United Way Romania, au discutat despre schimbarile aduse de acest anotimp si despre felul in care oamenii se pregatesc de zilele mai racoroase: isi organizeaza gospodariile, aduna roadele gradinilor sau isi fac provizii pentru iarna. De asemenea, ei au adunat diverse materiale si au participat la activitati creative cu specificul acestei teme, confectionand frunze decorative din coji de fistic sau realizand desene inspirate de culorile si frumusetea acestui anotimp.
Prin imbinarea invatarii cu activitatile practice, copiii si-au dezvoltat creativitatea, atentia si motricitatea, descoperind totodata importanta planificarii, organizarii si pregatirii pentru schimbarile specifice fiecarui anotimp, astfel incat viata fiecaruia sa se poata desfasura in bune conditii.

For the children autumn brings not only the start of the school year but also involvement in various seasonal educational activities held in Casa Florian. In September, children from “School is cool!” project, partially funded by United Way Romania, discussed the changes brought by the season and how people prepare for cooler days: organizing their households, gathering garden produce and stocking up for winter. They also collected various materials and took part in creative activities themed around the season, such as crafting decorative leaves from pistachio shells and creating drawings inspired by the season's colors and beauty.
By combining learning with hands-on activities, the children developed their creativity, attention span and motor skills. At the same time, they discovered the importance of planning, organizing, and preparing for seasonal changes to ensure their daily lives run smoothly.

Inceputul scolii se apropie cu pasi repezi, iar copiii de la Fundatia JOYO il asteapta echipati cu ghiozdane, rechizite si alte materiale educationale necesare. Acest lucru nu ar fi fost posibil pentru toti fara implicarea deosebita a inimoasei echipe de la Siemens Energy , care, cu entuziasm si multa generozitate a pregatit ghiozdanele pline cu rechizite pentru cea mai mare parte a copiilor din Casa Florian si Casa Sebastian.
Pe langa echipa ei solidara, compania Siemens Energy s-a alaturat si in acest an cauzei noastre, acordand un sprijin important pentru derularea proiectelor Fundatiei JOYO.
Recunostinta copiilor si echipei organizatiei noastre se indreapta catre companie si oamenii ei cu suflet mare, care ii sprijina pe copiii nostri, dandu-le nu doar sanse, ci si sperante pentru un viitor mai bun.

The start of the school year is fast approaching, and the children at Fundatia JOYO are ready for it, equipped with school bags, stationery and other necessary educational materials. This would not have been possible for everyone without the exceptional commitment of the dedicated team at Siemens Energy, who, with enthusiasm and great generosity, prepared schoolbags full of stationery for the majority of the children at Casa Florian and Casa Sebastian.
Alongside its supportive team, Siemens Energy has once again joined our cause this year, providing significant support for the implementation of Fundatia JOYO projects.
The gratitude of the children and the team of our organization goes to the company and its big-hearted people, who support our children, giving them not only chances, but also hopes for a better future.

Au mai ramas cateva zile pana la inceperea scolii, iar copiii din proiectul “Scoala este super!”, finantat partial de United Way Romania , au fost echipati cu ghiozdanele si rechizitele necesare pentru a putea pasi cu incredere in noul an scolar, alaturi de colegii lor de clasa. Copiii s-au bucurat foarte mult ca au primit ce le trebuie pentru scoala. De acum incolo, mai au nevoie doar de dorinta, rabdare si indrumare pentru a-si realiza temele si a se stradui sa invete din ce in ce mai bine.
Multumim United Way Romania pentru contributia la asigurarea unui inceput de an scolar in conditii bune pentru copiii din proiectul “Scoala este super!”.

There are still a few days left until school starts, and the children from the “School is cool!” project, partially funded by United Way Romania , were equipped with the necessary school bags and supplies to confidently step into the new school year, alongside their classmates. The children were very happy to receive what they need for school. From now on, all they need is desire, patience and guidance to complete their homework and strive to learn better and better.
We thank United Way Romania for its contribution to ensuring a good start to the school year for the children from the “School is cool!” project.

Pentru copiii din proiectul ,,Scoala este super!”, proiect finantat partial de United Way Romania , vacanta de vara este un bun prilej pentru a recapitula si fixa cunostintele despre mediul inconjurator, dobandite in timpul scolii. Expunerile si microatelierele desfasurate au avut ca scop intelegerea modului organizat in care functioneaza plantele precum si constientizarea importantei majore a lor, pentru sanatatea planetei si perpetuarea vietii.
Fie ca reprezinta hrana pentru om si animale sau fixeaza pamantul si actioneaza ca ingrasamant natural, vindeca bolile sau purifica aerul si produc O2, insemnatatea lumii vegetale este vitala pentru intreaga planeta.
Educatia pentru protejarea mediului are ca prim pas intelegerea importantei majore a existentei plantelor pentru noi toti.
De la cel mai mic pana la cel mai mare, haideti sa pretuim plantele ca pe o “comoara” inestimabila!

For the children participating in the "School is cool!" project, which is partially funded by United Way Romania, the summer holiday is an excellent opportunity to review and reinforce the knowledge they acquired during the school year about the natural environment.
The presentations and hands-on workshops were designed to help the children understand how plants function as living organisms and to raise awareness of their vital importance for the health of our planet and the continuation of life.
Whether they provide food for people and animals, stabilize the soil and act as natural fertilizers, offer medicinal benefits, or purify the air and produce oxygen, plants play an indispensable role in sustaining life on Earth.
Environmental education begins with understanding the essential role that plants play in our lives and in the well-being of the planet.
From the youngest to the oldest, let us all cherish plants as an invaluable treasure!

Vacanta de vara le-a adus copiilor Fundatiei JOYO o surpriza din partea prietenilor de la Rotary Club Bucuresti Atheneum: o excursie la obiective turistice din judetul Buzau.
Cu mare bucurie, copiii au pornit catre primul obiectiv de vizitat, Manastirea Ciolanu, loc incarcat cu o istorie de peste 400 de ani, Copiii au vizitat biserica centrala si au admirat icoanele, pictura murala si obiectele de cult din interior. Apoi, pasii i-au purtat spre Tabara de Sculptura in aer liber ,,Magura”, unde au vazut in realitate blocurile mari de piatra carora artistii si mesterii pietrari le-au dat diverse forme, in urma cu peste 40 de ani.
Urmatorul obiectiv a fost Vulcanii Noroiosi, recunoscut drept una dintre cele mai interesante atractii turistice din Romania. Copiii au fost uimiti de peisajul spectaculos, pe alocuri selenar. Curiozitatea si interesul i-au indemnat sa puna intrebari si sa afle cat mai multe informatii despre acest fenomen geologic rar.
Excursia a continuat pana in localitatea Colti, la Muzeul Chihlimbarului. Micii vizitatori au aflat lucruri inedite de la ghidul muzeal, care le-a prezentat o intreaga varietate de exponate din chihlimbar, de culori si marimi diferite: de la nuante de galben, la brun-roscat sau verde-negru, aflate in stare bruta, prelucrata sau sub forma de podoabe. La finalul vizitei, copiii au aflat ca Romania detine cea mai mare piesa de chihlimbar din lume, denumita rumanit, care este expusa la Muzeul Judetean Buzau.
Multumim Rotary Club Bucuresti Atheneum pentru oportunitatea oferita copiilor de a petrece o zi inconjurati de peisaje frumoase, aer curat si de a-si largi orizontul cultural.

The summer vacation brought the children from Fundatia JOYO a surprise from their friends at the Rotary Club Bucharest Atheneum: a trip to tourist attractions in Buzău County.
With great joy, the children set off for their first destination, Ciolanu Monastery, a place steeped in over 400 years of history. The children visited the main church and admired the icons, murals, and religious artifacts inside. Then, their steps led them to the “Magura” Open-Air Sculpture Park, where they saw firsthand the large blocks of stone that artists and stonemasons had shaped into various forms over 40 years ago.
The next stop was the Mud Volcanoes, recognized as one of Romania’s most interesting tourist attractions. The children were amazed by the spectacular landscape, which in places resembled the surface of the moon. Their curiosity and interest prompted them to ask questions and learn as much as possible about this rare geological phenomenon.
The trip continued to the village of Colti, to the Amber Museum. The young visitors learned fascinating facts from the museum guide, who showed them a wide variety of amber exhibits in different colors and sizes: ranging from shades of yellow to reddish-brown or greenish-black, in their raw state, processed, or in the form of jewelry. At the end of the visit, the children learned that Romania is home to the world’s largest piece of amber, known as “rumanit,” which is on display at the Buzău County Museum.
We thank the Rotary Club Bucharest Atheneum for giving the children the opportunity to spend a day surrounded by beautiful scenery and fresh air, and to broaden their cultural horizons.

Primele zile de vacanta au lasat in urma invatarea obligatorie si goana d**a note si au adus in prim plan curiozitatea si invatarea din placere.
Astfel, in prima saptamana de vacanta, copiii din proiectul ,,Scoala este super!”, finantat partial de United Way Romania , au fost implicati in activitati recreativ-educative, care au avut rolul de a elimina presiunea impusa de cerintele scolare. Printre jocuri, concursuri, vizionari de filme pentru copii, dans si muzica, copiii au fost implicati si in activitati menite sa le dezvolte orizontul de cunoastere. Una dintre acestea, premergatoare activitatii de orientare vocationala, a avut scopul de a transmite informatii care sa ofere copiilor o colectie de ocupatii, din care, la momentul potrivit, sa aleaga o viitoare meserie. Asistentul social a explicat copiilor importanta scolii si faptul ca o buna pregatire profesionala are ca fundament un bun nivel scolar. Colegii mai mari, elevi de liceu, care au fost invitati la activitate, le-au impartasit din experienta lor de elev si au subliniat o data in plus, ca un nivel scolar ridicat iti ofera mai multe sanse de a ajunge la profesia dorita.

The first days of vacation left behind mandatory learning and the pursuit of grades and brought curiosity and learning for pleasure to the forefront.
Thus, in the first week of the vacation, the children from the project "School is cool!", partially financed by United Way Romania, were involved in recreational-educational activities, which had the role of eliminating the pressure imposed by school requirements. Among games, contests, watching children's films, dancing and music, the children were also involved in activities aimed at developing their horizons of knowledge. One of these, preceding the vocational guidance activity, had the purpose of transmitting information that would offer the children a collection of occupations, from which, at the right time, they could choose a future profession. The social worker explained to the children the importance of school and the fact that good professional training has as its foundation a good school level. The older colleagues, high school students, who were invited to the activity, shared with them their student experience and emphasized once again that a high school level gives you more chances to reach the desired profession.

Pentru copiii din proiectul ,,Scoala este super!”, finantat partial de United Way Romania , participarea la activitatile de creatie prin desen si pictura, stimuleaza multe aspecte importante din dezvoltarea lor. Beneficiile acestor activitati se reflecta in multiple directii: la nivel cognitiv, emotional, dar si social. Prin desen si culoare copiii cunosc si pot intelege mai usor lumea inconjuratoare si legaturile dintre elementele care o constituie, isi dezvolta creativitatea, atentia, concentrarea, capacitatea de observare si memoria vizuala. Notabile sunt transformarile pozitive in plan emotional, desenul si pictura aducand relaxarea d**a efortul depus pentru finalizarea temelor de la scoala. Periodic au loc intalniri in care micile ,,opere” sunt admirate si analizate de copii, apoi sunt expuse in salile centrului de zi ,,Casa Florian”. Punerea in valoare a talentului si sensibilitatii artistice a copiilor sunt un pas important spre castigarea increderii in sine.

For the children in the project "School is cool!", partially funded by United Way Romania, participation in creative activities through drawing and painting stimulates many important aspects of their development. The benefits of these activities are reflected in multiple directions: cognitively, emotionally, but also socially. Through drawing and coloring, children know and can more easily understand the world around them and the connections between the elements that constitute it, they develop, their creativity, attention, concentration, observation skills and visual memory. The positive transformations on an emotional level are notable, drawing and painting bringing relaxation after the effort made to complete school homework. Periodically, meetings are held in which the small "works" are admired and analyzed by the children, then they are exhibited in the halls of the "Casa Florian" day center. The valorization of children's talent and artistic sensitivity is an important step towards gaining self-confidence.

Astăzi, copiii din proiectul “Scoala este super!”, finantat partial de United Way Romania , au participat la o activitate de lectură plină de emoție și descoperiri.
Prin carti, au patruns in lumea imaginara a povestilor, au învățat ce inseamna curajul, prietenia, încrederea, au descoperit diferentele dintre comportamentele personajelor si consecintele acestor comportamente in diverse situatii. Pentru fiecare copil, lectura nu înseamnă doar cuvinte pe hârtie, ci și oportunitatea de a visa, de a înțelege și de a crește.
Mulțumim tuturor celor care susțin acest proiect și dau o sansa pentru un viitor mai bun copiilor nostri!

Today, the children from the “School is cool!” project, partially funded by United Way Romania , participated in a reading activity full of emotion and discoveries.
Through books, they entered the imaginary world of stories, learned what courage, friendship, trust mean, discovered the differences between the characters' behaviors and the consequences of these behaviors in various situations. For every child, reading means not only words on paper, but also the opportunity to dream, understand and grow.
We thank everyone who supports this project and gives a chance for a better future for our children!
