Dear , Understanding Active (Activă), Reflexive (Reflexivă), and Passive (Pasivă) voices is essential for mastering Romanian sentence structures.

Active Voice (Diateza Activă): The subject performs the action.

Example: Eu scriu o scrisoare. (I am writing a letter.) — The subject (I) does the action to the object (letter).

Reflexive Voice (Diateza Reflexivă): The subject performs the action on itself. These verbs always come with a reflexive pronoun (mă, te, se, ne, vă).

Example: Eu mă spăl. (I wash myself.) — The subject and the object are the same.

Passive Voice (Diateza Pasivă): The focus is on the receiver of the action, using the auxiliary verb a fi (to be) + past participle.

Example: Scrisoarea este scrisă de mine. (The letter is written by me.)
