În GIS, un punct pe o hartă este doar o pereche de numere până când îi dăm context. De acest Paște, să nu uităm că cel mai important context al existenței noastre este Comunitatea.

Lumina Învierii nu se aprinde doar pentru noi înșine; ea se multiplică doar atunci când o dăm mai departe. La fel ca în proiectele noastre geo-spațiale, unde datele devin cu adevărat valoroase doar atunci când sunt deschise, partajate și folosite împreună pentru a înțelege și îmbunătăți lumea din jurul nostru.

Acest Paște, să fim noi înșine "reperele" de pe harta cuiva – un punct de sprijin, un far de speranță, o sursă de inspirație deschisă tuturor.

Joi, 12 martie 2026, în cadrul "Grupului de Studii Interdisciplinare asupra Istoriei Dreptului", va avea loc conferința
„RoHGIS. O platformă digitală pentru date istorico-geografice”, susținută de dr. Cezar BUTEREZ (Institutul de Etnografie și Folclor "Constantin Brăiloiu" al Academiei Române).

RoHGIS este o platformă digitală standardizată, cu acces liber, dedicată datelor istorico-geografice privind teritoriile locuite de români. Nucleul său îl constituie un dicționar istorico-geografic digital al așezărilor din Regatul României pentru perioada 1904–1913.

Prezentarea urmărește procesul de elaborare a acestui instrument, într-un context în care România nu dispune încă de un dicționar geografic digital oficial pentru epoca modernă. Vor fi discutate principalele provocări metodologice — accesul dificil la surse, lipsa colecțiilor cartografice complete, dinamica denumirilor — precum și soluțiile adoptate pentru integrarea și standardizarea datelor.
