'When I play football I forget!' says Esha while playing football in the schoolyard barefoot.

Esha proves every prejudice wrong - a girl from a modest background, with no proper sports equipment from a village far away. And she still made it to the football county competition. And won!

So excited to share the story of our last experience in Kenya. All our volunteers have learned a valuable lesson: giving does not only change the beneficiaries, it also changes ourselves. Thanks for the privilege of working with you, Camelia, Corina, Mihaela, Adela, Lila and Ilyas!

Yet another great week - this time at Muhaka I.C. Primary School - with workshops, renovations, consultations, a wi-fi installation for the whole school, and a great local community that has enriched us all!

Mihaela - who has proven her nurse skills are as good as her engineering ones
Corina - who never loses her head in front of medical situations
Adela - who can do just about anything, from playing with kids to painting and giving life lessons
Camelia - who has the biggest, most genuine and loving heart we have ever seen
Lila - who gets attached really fast and has found a heart for the learners
Ilyas - who is playful and energetic enough to handle football playing kids for hours :)

Captions of the week in Madago
With a team of 7 everything is easier and more fun :) over 150 checked-up patients, 2 painted classrooms, hours of games and joy, 3 workshops for the learners on menstrual health, drug abuse, s*x tourism and school drop-out. And a whole week of women empowerment workshop and counselling for the mothers of the learners who are willing to take their fate in their own hands and fight for the better!
Thousands of smiles, hundreds of tears, a lot of sweat and unforgettable moments! Asante Sana!

This week the spotlight is on Joy, a young and determined woman, who truly shines these days. Joy was admitted to Medical School last year. And with our support she started and continued. Now she is proud to have started her practical training. And we are even prouder! Our help changes chances and creates better lives.
