Second day update from the TC Play without limits, where we learned about goal ball and each team has presented their situation about adapted sports from the countries they come from.
Personally I learned about this game for the first time in my life and on next day we will also get the chance to play it!

We have begun our new Erasmus plus training course in Lisbon about adapted sports!
Can't wait for the next sports activities by the beach!
What are adapted sports?

Adapted sports are modified versions of traditional athletic games designed to accommodate individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities. They feature tailored rules, specialized equipment, or adjusted play areas to ensure safety, accessibility, and fair competition.
More than just physical activity, adapted sports foster inclusion, independence, and athletic excellence, proving that athletic potential is defined by drive and skill rather than physical limitations.

As is a sports NGO that offers adapted sports for disabled youngsters, it came as a partner in this project, alongside !

Thank you for the opportunity!

Digital Detox and Nature's Embrace in Italy! 🧘‍♀️🌳📱
Just got back from an incredible Erasmus+ youth exchange called "DETOX" in Montella, Italy, near Naples! This project was all about disconnecting to reconnect, focusing on detaching from our phones and social media scrolling to truly nurture our mental well-being.
For a week, 40 of us (8 participants from Romania, Portugal, Germany, Estonia, and Italy!) plunged into a world of mindfulness. The workshops covered various aspects of detoxing from social media, not just mindfulness and yoga. We explored the impact of technology on our brains and society in Europe, and then learned practical ways to counteract it through meditation and yoga.
A highlight of our time was the intercultural night where each country presented their food and culture, and we played games! As part of the Romanian team, we cooked up some delicious Romanian dishes, and everyone absolutely loved them! It was amazing to share perspectives and experiences.
Beyond the workshops, we truly embraced nature. We went on beautiful hikes and forest walks, even hugging some trees along the way! A special memory is that every night we had a bonfire, perfect for sharing stories and laughter. We also had an upcycling workshop, where we transformed trash collected from nature into awesome artworks – a powerful reminder of sustainability.
Living communally was a big part of the experience. We all shared a large dormitory with bunk beds (some even opted for tents!), and embraced the simplicity of open-air showers. Plus, the entire food menu was deliciously vegan!
Feeling refreshed, mindful, and incredibly grateful for this experience. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of digital balance and the healing power of nature and human connection.

Youth Exchange "Health is wealth"
For nine unforgettable days, we participated in an Erasmus Plus program in Berlin. It was a unique opportunity to connect with 30 participants from five different countries: Germany, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Greece. Each day was carefully planned with engaging group activities, outdoor adventures, and interactive games that energized us from morning to evening. The topic of the activities was about health and what it represents for us, methods on how to improve our health and how to take care of it on a daily basis.
Our mornings often started with “wake-up games,” setting the tone for collaboration and fun. We quickly bonded over team challenges, creative workshops, and problem-solving tasks. One of the highlights was the *intercultural night*, where each group presented their country’s traditions, music, and cuisine. It was an incredible way to learn about different cultures while enjoying delicious food and lively dances.
Exploring Berlin was another highlight of the program. Together, we visited iconic museums that showcased Berlin’s rich history and vibrant art scene. Walking through the streets, we experienced the city’s dynamic energy, from historical landmarks like the Berlin Wall to its modern neighborhoods filled with street art and diverse cultures.
The program also emphasized outdoor activities, mindfulness workshops, debates, healthy lifestyle choices, playing games, sharing stories, or simply relaxing under the trees, all allowing us to connect on a deeper level.
What made this experience truly special was the group dynamic. Although we came from different countries, we quickly became a family. The combination of teamwork, cultural exchange, and personal growth made every day meaningful and enriching.
This Erasmus Plus experience not only expanded our horizons but also strengthened our appreciation for diversity, communication, and collaboration. Berlin became more than just a city; it became the backdrop for lifelong memories and friendships. We left with a renewed sense of curiosity and gratitude!

Health is wealth ,
Оn the fourth day of our activities during the project “Health is Wealth,” we engaged in activities designed to connect with nature on a deeper level. “Hug the trees!” was the slogan of the morning activity. We truly connected with this majestic range of plants. We also shared stories about their significance in different communities and cultures.

The next topic was crystals and their meanings, powers, and benefits. We discussed various types of crystals, such as Quartz, Pyrite, and Shungite. After the outdoor activities, we took a lunch break.

In the next session, we participated in a special workshop led by an external mentor. The theme was cold exposure and its benefits. Exposure to cold environments has many advantages, with the most notable being its ability to strengthen the immune system. After the theoretical part of the workshop, we went outside to practice what we had learned.

We were divided into four groups, each working on a different topic. Following some exercises, one participant, under the careful supervision of our mentor, jumped into the lake. Afterward, we reflected on the activities and insights gained during the workshop.

Day 03

The third day began with an energizing dancing game at 10 a.m., designed to boost our energy and set a positive tone. Shared sense of fun.

Following this, we transitioned outdoors to enjoy the fresh air and a change of scenery. Gathering around benches in a quiet, safe space, we participated in a heartfelt sharing session. Each participant was invited to share personal memories that had shaped them, fostering an environment of trust and vulnerability. This activity deepened connections among the group and created a profound sense of community.

Afterward, we mοved to a creative session of art therapy, centered on self-expression. Participants were given art supplies and encouraged to paint their feelings and emotions. The session allowed everyone to communicate visually, translating complex inner thoughts into colors, shapes, and forms. This therapeutic activity not only sparked creativity but also opened a new avenue for exploring and understanding emotions.
After that we separated into two teams and debated which method is better to treat mental health - spiritual or scientific

Then we had the first intercultural night where Romania and Bulgaria presented their countries and some national foods.

Τhe day concluded with a brief evaluation session, during which participants reflected on the importance of emotional expression and the value of creating a safe, supportive environment. It was a deeply reflective and connective day, blending creativity, emotional depth, and personal growth.

Day: 02

The day started energetically at 10 a.m. after breakfast with an engaging session. To kick things off, we participated in an energizer activity where teams chose their "Dancing Queens" and mirrored their dance moves, creating a lively and spirited atmosphere.
This was followed by a presentation activity representing our sending partner organizations for Erasmus+. Each team created a poster showcasing facts about their organizations, which were then presented to the group. The session fostered interaction as teams asked questions about each other’s sending partners, enhancing mutual understanding.

Post-lunch, at 2 p.m., we resumed with a series of presentations on the mental health situations in our respective countries. Teams shared insightful statistics, discussed prevalent stigmas, and provided recommendations for improvement. These presentations were both enlightening and thought-provoking.

After the presentations, we explored various factors affecting mental health and completed a personality-type survey. This activity helped participants gain self-awareness, identifying traits like being a dynamic leader, energetic enthusiast or clam harmonizer etc.

In the evening, participants discussed the skills they developed, the progress in international competence, and overall learning outcomes.

The day concluded with a fun and interactive gaming session. Members from different national teams were mixed into new teams and competed in games like "Guess the Object, profession and Animal." These games required pantomime and guessing, creating an entertaining and collaborative end to the day.

The day was both productive and enjoyable, blending creativity, learning, and team-building activities.
