🌊 In celebration of World Oceans Day (8 June), our international volunteers prepared an interactive activity with students at the school in Tăuții de Sus.
Together, they explored how human-made pollution affects marine life, learning about animals such as sea turtles, dolphins, seabirds, and fish (but also about the ”lesser known” ones) that are impacted by plastic waste and other pollution. Through discussions and activities, the children discovered how everyday choices can help protect oceans and the incredible biodiversity they support.
We believe protecting the water life starts with understanding the challenges they face. Today's students are tomorrow's responsible adults. 🌍
✨ Thank you to the volunteers, director and the support teachers who helped us implement this work.
🧩 The volunteers are coordinated by Team for Youth Association in the “Year 5” project, a European Solidarity Corps volunteering activity in Baia Mare.
