Team for Youth Association

Kaisu: ” If someone is reading this who might still be unsure whether they dare to do an ESC because everything seems a bit overwhelming at first, then I want to tell you that it’s really not all that complicated and truly worth the adventure. ”

Our ESC volunteers met with students to explore different forms of democracy and discover how young people can make their voices heard at European level.

Through brainstorming and debate, students chose topics that matter to them and explored how new laws or initiatives could bring positive changes to their lives across the EU. We also introduced them to the European Citizens’ Initiative, a tool that allows EU citizens to call on the European Commission to propose new legislation on matters within its competence.

The meeting continued with an open Q&A, where students had the chance to ask our volunteers about their experiences, daily activities, challenges, and life in a European Solidarity Corps project.

Daniel: ” I discovered the European Solidarity Corps at a time of transition in my life, a period when I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do or which direction I wanted to take. I had just finished my bachelor’s degree and I felt like I needed a change, so I started looking for an alternative to a regular job.”

We recently hosted an interactive workshop dedicated to exploring non-formal education methods. We can safely say that... the energy in the room was incredible!

Participants shared that they not only had a a good time, but also gained a deeper understanding of why non-formal learning matters. Especially how it works in perfect synergy with formal and informal education to build well-rounded skills.

The activity helped create a space for local youth and our international ESC volunteers to meet, connect, exchange perspectives, and learn from one another. A win-win experience!

Big thanks to Zbor Hub Baia Mare for hosting us and managing such an inspiring space!

📌 Activity organized by Team for Youth Association within the European Solidarity Corps project "Year 5" (2025-1-RO01-ESC51-VTJ-000346804), co-funded by the European Union.
