🥳🎉 🇩🇪 Happy Bus News For Eleven Very Special Sweethearts 🥳🎉🇩🇪

All aboard! Destination Germany 🇩🇪! 🚌💨🏡💕🐾

Phew 😅... another very Happy Bus absolutely filled with hope & floof. 🥰

These gorgeous souls have set off towards the bright & happy futures they always deserved, all thanks to the fabulous team at Tierheimat Thüringen e.V. 🌹🥰✨️ We cannot thank you enough for your unwavering kindness & dedication, & for all your hard work behind the scenes. 🫶

All eleven souls were found abandoned &/or neglected, each one desperately trying to navigate the most difficult life. But good fortunate smiled their way, & they were lucky enough to be seen by people with big hearts who set about doing all they could to help. 🙏

You wonderful people on the ground in Romania - thank you for noticing, thank you for caring & thank you for helping. 🫶

Now, let's see who boarded the Happy Bus & wave 👋 them off on their next exciting adventure... 🏡

💙 Rufus 💙

His story is one of love, hope & persistence, & he has truly been on a journey.

Rufus was found as a puppy & cared for by our wonderful friend Cris Elena Velescu. Shockingly, he was absolutely starving, skin & bones, & suffering from a painful skin condition, along with an issue with his eye. He was later discovered to have parvovirus.

What a handsome warrior! All recovered & ready to go out & live the rest of his life. 🥹

You can revisit his rescue story here...

Rufus was so kindly named & sponsored by Judy Taylor & the Barn Girls. These lovely ladies also so generously covered his initial veterinary care, with our incredible Sadies family then chipping in to cover the rest of his bill. We cannot thank you all enough. 🥰💫🫶

💗 April 💗

Laura & Bobo spotted April in a remote area. She was in the most neglected state, skinny, covered in ticks, with marks around her neck suggesting she was once tethered.

April was so kindly named & sponsored by Jayne Perry, & her spay was so generously gifted by Fiona McArthur Oates. 🥰💫🫶

💛 Dora 💛

This beautiful girl was found abandoned in the forest, engorged with milk, by our wonderful vet Spatariu Oana. Sadly, despite much searching, no puppies could be found. 💔

You can revisit her rescue story here:

Dora was so lovingly named & sponsored by Jane Jones, Judy Taylor's sister, after their lovely mum. Her glow-up pamper was so kindly gifted by Wendy Warbrook, & Jessica Schmidt of Tierheimat Thüringen e.V so generously covered her spay. 🥰💫🫶

🤎 Fudge 🤎

This beautiful girl was found living with gypsies, unspayed & terribly neglected. Worried for her welfare, one of our lovely friends undertook lengthy negotiations in order to help her & get her to safety.

Fudge was so generously named & sponsored by Bernie Taylor. Her spay was so kindly gifted by Elizabeth Mary Clement Boyall, & her glow-up pamper was so lovingly gifted by Sarah Louise Wooster. 🥰💫🫶

🧡 Mooki & Libby 🧡

Puppies Mooki & Libby & their family were lucky enough to be found by a very kind family who took it upon themselves to care for them & keep them safe.

Thanks to this wonderful display of love & kindness, they were protected from the dangers of street life & spared the hardship of a tough existence. 🫶

Mookie was so kindly named & sponsored by Keith Newton, & Libby was so lovingly named & sponsored by Sheila Kenny. 🥰💫🫶

🐱 Treasure 🐈

Our lovely friend Alexandru Barbu & his friends heard the cries of this tiny little kitten but couldn't find her. Laura & Bobo were alerted & immediately set about looking for her, with the help of our Elaine, who was visiting at the time.

Definitely not the easiest rescue...

You can revisit her rescue story here...

Treasure was so kindly sponsored by Joanna Ashley, & she so sweetly allowed her to keep the nickname Laura & Bobo had given her. 🥰💫🫶

🐈 Rhonda & Rose 🌹

Laura & Bobo found these two beautiful little kittens in a lay-by in the middle of a forest, along with their mummy, Caroline.

You can revisit their rescue story here...

Rhonda & Rose were so lovingly named & sponsored by Anne Elizabeth, in honour of friends who are no longer here. 🙏💕🫶

🌸 Pufacica 🌸

A lovely lady called Lore Ioana found two little, vulnerable puppies & set about doing everything possible to help them.

She found wonderful foster homes for them so they could safely have their vaccinations, even raising the money to cover those vaccinations herself. 🥹🫶

And now her beautiful gifts to these girls come full cycle, as they both head off home. 🏡

Pufacica's sister, Sosa, left on the last Happy Bus, & now it's Pufacica's turn. 💕🐾

🐼 Panda 🐼

A friend of a friend found Panda abandoned & all alone. With a heart full of love, this family immediately took her into their care, giving her a safe & loving environment whilst she had her vaccinations.

Much loved but unable to keep her, the family so lovingly named & sponsored her, readying her for the fabulous life she has ahead of her. 🥰💫🫶

I don't know about you, but this Happy Bus has really bought a tear to my eyes. 🥹 What an incredibly hopeful & uplifting bus! 😍

To everyone who has supported these beauties at whichever part of their journey - thank you. 🫶

The finders, the rescuers, the local fosters, the sponsors, the glow-up guardians, the spay/neuter superstars, those helping with veterinary bills, general donations, rent & tummies...

A huge, massive thank you to every single one of you. 🌹

And to the magnificent team at Tierheimat Thüringen e.V, along with their wonderful fosters & adopters in Germany, we honestly cannot thank you enough. 🫶🇩🇪

These dogs & cats are the lucky ones - now safe & destined to be forever loved & "treasured", something we hope for every one of the lost souls of Romania. 🙏

Goodbye 👋 beauties, it's time to live the next happy chapter of your lives. 😘🏡💕🐾

Two little souls, one lucky detour ❤️
Roadworks in the city left us queuing for hours, so this time on the way back from the groomers we took a route we don’t usually.
Long and winding through the lanes, but at least the traffic was moving.

I had this strange feeling, almost like I knew we were going to find someone who needed us.
Just a gut feeling.
And there they were.

Two puppies, huddled together, holding onto a piece of bread they had found 🥺
Being ever so clever, tucked safely just off the road. But it could only have been a matter of time before fate took a different turn.
There was no future for them there. No safe place, no life.

We noticed a sack nearby, the kind they were likely dumped in. Sadly, this is something we see far too often here. We scooped them up and then, off we went.

With a car full of dogs, these two little ones sat quietly on my lap.
Little do they know that today was the best day of their lives ❤️

Now their exciting new chapter can begin.
But first, they need names!
We are looking for two kind sponsors please to help us get them started, with a one-off donation of £30 each towards their initial vet costs.

Who would like to be a part of their story?

**Update**
Little boy 🩵 Kindly sponsored by Heather Lowe and named Edward after her own Romanian pup Ted 🩵

💔 Leona’s journey is taking a turn we never expected…

Our plan was simple.. Once we got Leona stronger and to a healthy weight after being found in a bad way earlier this year, we wanted to have her spayed.

So being older, we checked her bloods first..
We had no idea those routine blood tests would change everything.

Her liver values came back abnormal. We started treatment and hoped that, when we repeated her bloods a couple of weeks later, we would see things moving in the right direction.
But they hadn’t improved.

That was when our vets carried out an ultrasound and our hearts sank. They had discovered a suspected mass on her liver.
Suddenly, something that had started as a routine check became something much more frightening.

Last week, Bobo and Leona made the long journey to Bucharest to see Oncovet, specialists in veterinary oncology. They carried out further investigations, including an ultrasound-guided sample from the liver mass, we would then need to wait for the results 🙏🏼

Their report describes a large formation in Leona’s liver, with possible pressure on her gallbladder, and says the findings raise suspicion of a neoplastic process.

Then came the wait.
Almost a week of waiting for the news we were desperately hoping wouldn't come.
And eventually, the word we had been dreading was confirmed:
Cancer 💔
There really aren't words to describe how that feels.

They recommended a CT scan of her chest and abdomen to understand exactly what we are facing, whether the mass can be removed, and whether there is any evidence of spread.

Leona has already been through so much.
She was found on the streets and given a second chance. We thought we were simply helping her become healthier, preparing her for the next chapter of her life.
We never imagined we would be here.

So now we fight that bit harder to get Leona where we want her to be 🙏🏼
Rachel Barton’s beautiful sponsor girl ❤️

Today, Bobo and Leona are back on the road to Bucharest 🚗💨

This time, it is for her CT scan.
We need answers.
We need to know:
❤️ Can the mass be operated on?
❤️ Has it spread?
❤️ Is there something we can do to give Leona more time?

The CT is an important step in determining the extent of the mass and its relationship with the surrounding structures, and in deciding whether surgery is possible.

And this is where we have to ask for help please 🙏🏼
The costs are already mounting.
The investigations in Bucharest alone have now reached £612.

That figure does not include the investigations and treatment already carried out by our vets in Bacău, and it doesn't include the fuel costs for these journeys to Bucharest.

We know that everyone is facing their own struggles, and we never take your support for granted. But right now, Leona needs us.

If you can spare anything towards her CT scan, investigations and whatever comes next, we would be incredibly grateful. ❤️

Even a small donation can make a difference when everyone comes together.
And if you can’t donate, please share.. maybe someone else out there, sees her story.

We don't know what the CT will tell us.
We don't know if surgery will be possible.
We don't know how much time we have.
But we do know that Leona deserves every chance we can give her ❤️

Come on, beautiful Leona, none of us are giving up on you.
Please keep her in your thoughts today 🙏 Thank you 🫶

And if you can spare a little, please mark your kind donation Leona ❤️

He didn’t know where he was. He didn’t know who we were. He only knew that he was alone 💔
Everything was new to him.

We can only imagine how small his world must have been before this, wearing the collar that he was, he had no doubt been living on a chain, knowing only the little patch of ground around him.
And then, suddenly, he was taken away and left somewhere unfamiliar, frightened and completely alone.

While everyone else drove past him, we couldn’t.
We’ve saved so many from this stretch of road and for some, we find them when it’s too late. It’s a fast road, a busy road.. and just open fields.
I didn’t know if we would be able to get him. Sometimes they panic, they run and never look back.
But armed with food, patience and a whole lot of hope.
Eventually, he trusted me enough to let me take him ❤️

Just as I believed he would be, he is the sweetest boy.
Just a young boy, only around 1 1/2 years old, with so much life ahead of him.
He has the most adorable little trick, he’s very submissive and he gives you his paw 🥹 little charmer even did it at the vets.

He’s skinny but absolutely stunning and more than anything, he is gentle and sweet.

It breaks our hearts to think about what his life has been and also what it almost was, but we’re determined that his past will not define his future.

We will do everything we can to find this beautiful boy the wonderful life he deserves. ❤️

But first, he needs something very special…
He needs a NAME please.
Would someone be kind enough to to sponsor him with a one-off donation of £30?

**UPDATE** Kindly sponsored by Helen Hawker and named Rex 🫶

And could someone else please help us towards the cost of his neutering, also with a £30 donation please?

**UPDATE** Neutering kindly covered by Sue McCathie 🫶

Two little acts of kindness that will help give this boy a new beginning.
From being unwanted … to being loved 🙏🏼

👑✨️ Happy Bus News & A Fairy Tale Ending For Beautiful Little Mango ✨️👑

Sometimes, you see one little face & you just know... this one belongs with us. 🥹💕🐾

And that's exactly what happened when Celine & Wesley saw our beautiful little Mango. 🥭❤️ They knew she was the missing piece in their family & that there was a Mango-shaped space in their hearts just waiting to be filled. 🥹✨️

Of course, Celine & Wesley are certainly no strangers to Sadies! They are already very proudly owned by two gorgeous Sadies girlies, Noor (was Rihanna) & Suus (was Susan), & we couldn't be more delighted that they have once again opened their hearts & home to another very special Sadies baby. 😍🐾💕

And so, our precious little Mango chugged off as a very special solo traveller, heading home to her incredible (already!) Sadies pawrents, her two new Sadies sisters & a wonderful new life on their beautiful farm. 🥹👑✨️

And there's one more little change awaiting her...

Mango will soon become Saar. 🥭➡️💕 A new name for a very special new chapter. 🥹✨️

We don't say this nearly enough, but behind every one of these wonderful Happy Bus endings is an enormous amount of hard work, time, dedication & love. ❤️ So much happens quietly behind the scenes to turn “we've fallen in love with her” into “she's home”, & that deserves to be recognised & celebrated too. 👏🤩✨️

This magical journey home 🪄💫 was organised by the wonderful Annette de Vogel & her incredible team at Stichting Pootjes Roemenië, who always go above & beyond, with the dogs' best interests at the heart of everything they do. 🤩✨️🫶

Together, they waved their magic wands 🪄✨️, & made this dream come true for one very special little girl who had already worked her way into so many hearts. 🥰

We all remember this little heartbreaker’s story only too well. 💔

This sweetest & most beautiful little soul was found abandoned on a pile of clothes, most likely waiting for the very people who had left her there to return. She was far too sweet & vulnerable to survive all alone on the streets. 🥺

You can revisit her rescue story here:

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1EwMopvr1Q/

🥭 Mango 🥭 was so kindly named & sponsored by Patricia Law, allowing her to access the vital initial tests she needed. Her spay was so generously gifted by Carolyn Furber. 🥰💫💕

We’d also like to thank Dave & Sue Ford for so sweetly ensuring that Mango always had a full tummy & her rent paid while she waited for her happily ever after. 🥰🫶✨️

Each & every one of you has been a vital link in Mango’s rescue journey, helping to take one abandoned little girl from a pile of clothes on the streets of Romania to a beautiful farm fit for a princess, a loving family, & a happy future. 👑✨️

We simply cannot thank you all enough for your unwavering love & commitment to these dogs. 💕🐾

And now, there’s only one thing left to do...

Let’s blow our little princess 👑 a huge kiss 😘 as she begins her happily ever after, & wish Saar all the love & happiness in the world from this day forth. ✨️💕🐾

Now THAT is a fairy tale ending. 👑✨️🥭

She didn’t run into my arms. She ran away from me 🥺
Alone and frightened .. I can’t blame her.

We spotted this little girl last weekend on the side of the road, in a particularly dangerous spot, right on a bend. The cars simply don’t wait for anybody.
She was scared. Her instinct was to run, and my instinct was to make sure she didn’t run into the road.

Thankfully, we had some cooked chicken in the car, which we were taking for one of our patients at the shelter and that was simply too tempting to resist!

She still wasn’t happy about being touched and being on a steep bank, using a crate wasn’t an option.
We tried another way and it worked ❤️

Fast forward some days and that same little girl has transformed.
This chubby little old lady has gone from running away in fear to melting into every bit of kindness she can get.
She is the sweetest little soul and just loves being loved 🥹

Thanks to the lovely Rosalyn Green who has so kindly sponsored her,
Rosalyn has named her Amelia, after Amelia Earhart, the pioneering aviator who flew solo across the Atlantic ✈️

Rosalyn said
“I’m sure at some point this girl felt alone out there.” And I don’t doubt this.

She isn’t microchipped, We have no way of knowing where she came from, how long she had been alone, or what she had endured.
Although… judging by her rather chubby little figure, I don’t think Amelia has missed too many meals 🙏🏼

But food isn’t all that she needed
She needed to feel safe, wanted.
She needed to learn that hands can be gentle. That voices can be kind, That she doesn't have to run anymore and now she knows ❤️

Thank you to the lovely Sue McCathie who has so kindly covered Amelia’s pamper session 🛁

There is just one more thing we need to cover for her and that’s her spay.
Would someone please help Amelia with a one-off donation of £30 towards the cost of her spaying?
**Update** Spay kindly covered by Irene Henkes

From a frightened little dog running away from us on a dangerous bend…
to a sweet old lady who now leans into our hands for affection.

This is why we rescue ❤️ to change lives for the better.

Thank you, Rosalyn. Thank you, Sue. And thank you to everyone who helps us turn frightened, forgotten dogs into dogs who finally know what it feels like to be loved.
Amelia is safe now.
And she doesn't need to run anymore ❤️
