means of preserving, reviving and promoting of Romanian cultural heritage Obiectivul nostru este concepţia şi implementarea unor proiecte eficiente, ecologice şi sustenabile, care sa valorifice patrimoniul arheologic din mediul rural şi tradiţiile conservate aici, deoarece: oraşul are nevoie de o a
provizionare cu alimente sanatoase şi gustoase, iar satul are nevoie de o reţea de desfacere; satele au nevoie de turişti, iar oraşul are posibilitaţi de promovare; patrimoniul arheologic are nevoie de conservare, utilitate şi integrare, iar orăşenii cauta diversitatea şi autenticul. Am selectat mai multe situri arheologice din mediul rural, dintre cele 90 înscrise în 2015 în Repertoriul Arheologic Naţional al României. Dar pentru început, vă propunem să ne concentrăm pe trei dintre acestea:
- Capela de secol XIII din Galşa, Şiria
- biserica de secol XII a fostei Prepozituri Orod din suburbiile Municipiului Arad (Vladimirescu)
- Cetatea Turcului – biserica şi incinta de secol XI - XVII
Din perspectiva noastră, acţiunea constă într-o serie de happeninguri interdisciplinare. Înainte de toate, dorim să culegem informaţii referitoare la fiecare sit şi contextul său. Dincolo de date istorice şi statistice, ne dorim să interacţionăm cu comunitatea locală pentru a împărtăşi perspective referitoare la identitate, resurse, meşteşuguri, nevoi, aşteptări şi lista poate continua. Vizitele de grup pe situri vor include activităţi în aer liber, degustari de alimente bio, vinuri aromate, ţuică de casă şi discuţii lângă foc. Munca presupune, în esenţă, explorarea, conservarea, relevarea şi experienţa ruinei în fiecare caz în parte. Acţiunile întreprinse vor fi rezultat al studiului. Implementarea proiectelor este misiunea noastră pentru viitor.

Vernacular is an open platform of civic dialogue between some rural and urban communities from Arad County. The purpose is to design and implement efficient, ecological and sustainable projects which will put to good use the archaeological heritage in the rural area and the traditions preserved here because: the city needs tasty healthy food and the village needs a network of marketplaces; the village needs tourists and the city can advertise; archaeological heritage needs conservation, utility and integration, citizens need genuine diversity. Several locations have been chosen among the 90 sites listed in 2015 in the Romanian National Archaeological Register. As a starting point, our suggestion is to start inquiring together about three of them:
- a 13th century chapel in Galşa, Şiria
- the 12th century Romanesque church of the former Repository of Orod, in the suburbs of Arad (Vladimirescu)
- the 11th – 17th century church and its premises (Cetatea Turcului) in Tauţ
We envision action as a sequence of interdisciplinary happenings. First of all, we want to gather information about each specific site within its context. Apart from historic and statistic data, we want to collect live testimonials from the local community and share perspectives about identity, resources, traditional handicrafts, needs, expectations and any other interesting topic that comes to mind. Group visits on site are spiced with outdoor activities, tasting bio products, good wine, traditional brandy and long talks beside the fire. The work consists mainly of exploring, preserving, drawing and enjoying the ruins on each of the selected sites. Action will result from our study. Implementation of the projects is our mission to be pursued.
