Yesterday, 10.05.2026, while the Rotary family prepares for the upcoming District 9220 Conference, three Rotary clubs came together in the streets of Port Louis to remind us that, even during moments of celebration and fellowship, we do not forget the less fortunate among us.
For the second time this year, the Rotary Club of Quatre Bornes had the privilege of associating itself with the beautiful initiative of Mam San Baz, whose work continues to bring warmth, dignity, and hope to homeless and underprivileged individuals across Port Louis. Beyond serving food, Mam San Baz creates human connections for people who are too often unseen and forgotten by society.
Together, the clubs distributed around 200 takeaway meals to vulnerable members of the community.
This meaningful action was carried out alongside our twin club, the Rotary Club Saint-Denis Austral, which generously provided blankets in anticipation of the colder winter nights ahead. The Rotary Club of Victoria from Seychelles also joined hands with us in this initiative.
Sometimes, kindness is not measured in grand gestures, but in a warm meal, a blanket, a smile, or simply taking the time to acknowledge another human being.
