Ferdinand Songsong, along with his close friends and colleagues have long been thinking of putting up an organization with their common passion to help other people. After being exposed to the plight of some Filipino workers here in Qatar he realized that some of our “Kabayan” need helps. Considering ourselves as blessed enough, we would like to share our blessings through community service. An in
vitation from one active Filipino community volunteer to participate in Labor Day event at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration office in Qatar opened the vision to become a reality. The supposedly informal meeting lead to formally organize a group called WASAHQ. Labor Day not only marked the significant day for workers all over the world but also the start of a new horizon. Welfare and Services Associated with Hospitality – Qatar was conceptualized on 1st of May 2013. WASAK literally means broken, split up or separated in Filipino dialect. However our group will totally be the opposite as we will help build the broken and unite each of us with one vision. WASAHQ will be focusing on providing assistance to Filipino workers here in Qatar in terms of hospitality management. Our inspiration is to help other people especially the Filipino community. We are bringing the spirit of “Bayanihan” in the modern days. Future generation looking forward in the fruitful result not only in Middle East, but all over the world. Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which one you have not get it you may be smart enough to see is which you would have wanted had know. This organization serves as inspiration not only for the Filipino community but for the entire human being who interested to be part of our organization which is less effort helping gracefully WASAHQ.
