APPRECIATION TO MEMBERS OF Ogbako Ndi Anambra na Qatar
Ndewo nu, ndi Ogbako Ndi Anambra,
On behalf of the leadership of Ogbako Ndi Anambra (ONA), I wish to express our profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all members for your massive turnout and participation at the Iwa Ji ceremony held on Friday, 11th September 2026.
Your presence, support, enthusiasm, and commitment truly made the occasion a memorable and remarkable celebration. The impressive turnout demonstrated not only our unity as Ndi Anambra but also our collective love and respect for our rich cultural heritage.
We sincerely thank every member who took the time to grace the occasion and contribute in one way or another to its success. Your presence gave the ceremony the warmth, colour, dignity, and communal spirit that made it special.
Special Appreciation
Our special appreciation goes to the ONA Women Wing for their invaluable support, active participation, and wonderful contribution to the success of the event. Your presence and dedication added great colour and meaning to the celebration.
We also appreciate our Welfare Team for their tireless efforts in ensuring the comfort and welfare of members and guests throughout the occasion. Your behind-the-scenes work is greatly valued and appreciated.
Our profound appreciation goes to the Planning Committee, ably chaired by Mr. Samuel Udeh, for the tremendous effort, coordination, dedication, and commitment that went into planning and executing the ceremony. Your hard work ensured that the event was well organised and successful.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Occasion, Dr. Val Anaehobi, for honouring us with his presence and for his support and contribution towards making the celebration a memorable one.
Celebrating Our Culture and Heritage
The Iwa Ji ceremony is much more than a social gathering. It is a powerful expression of who we are as Ndi Anambra and as Igbo people. It connects us with our ancestors, reminds us of our roots, strengthens our sense of community, and provides an opportunity for us to pass our cherished values, customs, and and traditions from one generation to another.
Iwa Ji represents the thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest. It is an expression of gratitude to Almighty God for His blessings, protection, provision, and the fruits of our labour.
As we celebrated together, we were reminded of the importance of preserving our culture and traditions, particularly in an increasingly changing world. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that our children and future generations understand, appreciate, and continue to uphold the beautiful traditions handed down to us by our forefathers.
Our culture is our identity, and when we preserve our traditions, we preserve a part of who we are.
A Celebration of Unity and Thanksgiving
The successful Iwa Ji ceremony once again demonstrated that when Ndi Anambra come together in unity, love, and common purpose, we can achieve great things.
We therefore thank God Almighty for granting us the opportunity to gather in good health, peace, and happiness, and for blessing us with a bountiful harvest. May He continue to bless the works of our hands, our families, our association, and our homeland, Anambra State.
Once again, thank you, Ndi Ogbako Ndi Anambra, for your massive turnout, participation, support, and commitment. You made the Iwa Ji celebration truly memorable.
