SLQS Qatar Annual General Meeting 2026: Celebrating Progress and Strengthening the Future

On Friday, 08th May 2026, members of SLQS Qatar gathered at the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay for the Annual General Meeting 2026, marking another successful year of unity, growth, and professional excellence.

The evening commenced with a warm welcome and inspiring address by the President, Mr. Udaya Bandara, who reflected on the remarkable journey of the past year and expressed his sincere appreciation to the outgoing committee for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment towards the continued success of SLQS Qatar.

The gathering continued with a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Ahamed Mahir, General Secretary, highlighting the key achievements and milestones of the year. From professional development programs and CPD sessions to sporting events, member engagement activities, and community initiatives, the presentation showcased another vibrant and productive year for the association.

Mr. Kapilan Thavarajah, Treasurer, presented the financial report for the year, providing members with a detailed overview of the association’s financial performance and future outlook.

A significant moment of the evening followed with the appointment of the new committee for the 2026/2027 term. Members warmly welcomed the reappointment of Mr. Udaya Bandara as President, alongside Mr. Ahamed Mahir as Vice President, and Mr. Kapilan Thavarajah as General Secretary, together with a strengthened committee comprising both experienced and newly appointed members.

The evening concluded with fellowship, refreshments, and meaningful conversations, reflecting the strong spirit of unity and professionalism that continues to drive SLQS Qatar forward.
