The scriptures provide specific actions for this period:

πŸ“Œ Be Still and Trust: "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him..." (Psalm 37:7).

πŸ“Œ Pray Constantly: The disciples were instructed to wait for the Promise of the Father (the Holy Spirit), which they did by gathering and praying (Acts 1:4, 12-14).

πŸ“Œ Maintain Confidence and Endurance: Hebrews 10:36 emphasizes, "For you have a need for patience, endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what is promised."

To "wait while waiting" in the scriptural sense is to trust God's timing (the external wait) while diligently pursuing faith and obedience (the internal wait).

2️⃣THE INTERNAL WAIT: (Active Faith and Preparation )

The second "waiting" describes the spiritual activities and posture we are commanded to maintain while we endure the first. It is a time of preparation, seeking, and endurance.

πŸ”– Active Expectation: The Hebrew word for "wait" (qΓ’vΓ’h) often means to bind together, to anticipate, to hope, or to look for with eager expectation. It’s an active posture of the soul, not a passive one.

πŸ”– Renewal of Strength: One of the most famous verses on waiting is Isaiah 40:31: "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

The wait itself is the catalyst for receiving renewed strength.

This is the unavoidable period where a desired outcome (a promise, a resolution, a needed change) has not yet manifested. Scripture consistently teaches that God works according to His perfect timing, not ours.

*Trust in Sovereignty:* The wait is a recognition that God is sovereign and acts on behalf of those who depend on Him. Examples like Abraham and Sarah (waiting for a son) and the Israelites (waiting for deliverance) illustrate this.

*Promise and Fulfillment:* The waiting period is the space between receiving a promise and its ultimate fulfillment. Lamentations 3:25 says, "The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him."

September to Remember: A Month of Rest and Comfort

"As we step into September, let us remember the words of Genesis 5:29, 'And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.'

πŸ‡Reflection:
This month, let's focus on REST AND COMFORT. Just as Noah brought comfort, God desires to bring us comfort and rest from our struggles and toils. Take time to reflect on areas where you need rest and comfort. Where are you feeling weary or overwhelmed?

πŸ“Charge:
Let us charge into this month with faith, believing that God will bring us rest and comfort. Let us prioritize self-care, seek God's presence, and trust in His promises.

🍎Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, as we enter September, we ask for Your rest and comfort. Soothe our weary souls, calm our minds, and grant us peace. Help us to trust in You and Your goodness In Jesus' name, Amen.
