Global credit rating agencies have affirmed Qatarโ€™s strong credit fundamentals amid regional developments.

Fitch Ratings has affirmed Qatarโ€™s Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating at โ€˜AAโ€™ with a Stable Outlook.

According to Fitch:
๐ŸŸฃ The rating reflects high GDP per capita and large sovereign assets.
๐ŸŸฃ Qatarโ€™s net foreign asset position, estimated at around 227% of GDP, provides substantial financial buffers.
๐ŸŸฃ LNG production capacity is expected to expand to 126 million tonnes per year by 2027, strengthening public finances over time.

Separately, S&P Global Ratings has affirmed Qatarโ€™s โ€˜AA/A-1+โ€™ long- and short-term sovereign credit ratings with a Stable Outlook.

According to S&P:
๐ŸŸฃ Qatarโ€™s large financial buffers and strong fiscal and external position provide room to absorb adverse geopolitical developments.
๐ŸŸฃ These buffers help offset potential impacts from temporary disruptions to LNG production or exports.

Together, these assessments highlight the strength of Qatarโ€™s financial buffers and credit fundamentals as regional dynamics evolve.
