READ: The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Doha is monitoring developments 24/7 and is continuously coordinating with local authorities, various diplomatic missions in Doha, various Philippine Embassies across the region, and relevant offices in Manila as the current situation unfolds.
โค As of this writing, the Embassy has recorded one (1) Filipino national who sustained minor injuries from intercepted missile shrapnels. Said national is safe and recovering.
โค The Embassy, through MWO, is providing temporary accommodation to at least 29 Filipino nationals who moved out of their residences due to their close proximity to danger zones. All of them are in good condition.
โค Stranded Filipino transit passengers and nationals on temporary visit are either given hotel provision by their airlines or are under the care of their visa sponsors. The Embassy is aware of their whereabouts.
โค Emergency consular and labor-related concerns are being addressed by the Embassy as per usual.
Further updates will be provided in due course.
As always, the Embassy strongly encourages Filipinos in Qatar with non-emergency errands to remain indoors for their safety and adhere to guidelines provided by the Embassy and local authorities.
