'Don’t miss a beat'
In 2026, we will continue the momentum of ʻDonʼt Miss a Beatʼ, raising awareness of the worldʼs number one killer and highlighting the importance of recognising the signs a nd symptoms of CVD.


Many signs of CVD go unnoticed until itʼs too late. It can affect anyone – regardless of age, fitness or lifestyle. From congenital heart disease in young people to overlooked symptoms in women and people with uncontrolled hypertension, too many lives are lost because the warning signs go unrecognised.

Protect your heart: Most heart disease is preventable. Most of CVD deaths are caused by risk factors that can be prevented or managed. By making small, consistent changes, people can significantly improve their heart health over time.

🌟 UNIQ SHEP at Ideal Indian School! 🌟

The UNIQ School Health Education Program (SHEP) proudly continued its journey of empowering school communities with a First Aid Workshop for the staff of Ideal Indian School, held on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at the Ideal Auditorium.

We are proud to associate with yet another Indian school in Qatar through SHEP, strengthening our commitment to promoting health awareness, first-aid knowledge, and life-saving skills within the wider community.

The session was led by Mr. Sulaiman Muhammed
Sulaiman Sunu , Education Wing Lead, along with Ms. Gisha Jeff , member of the UNIQ Education Wing.

The workshop was attended by UNIQ Vice President Mr. Muhammed Ameer, the School Principal, and other administrative representatives.

It was an excellent and highly interactive session, with participants actively engaging in discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on skill training.

A heartfelt appreciation to the Ideal Indian School management and staff for their enthusiastic participation and warm support.

Together, through SHEP, we continue to empower communities with knowledge and skills that can make a difference when it matters most.

20th Asian Medical Camp 2026..!!

In line with UNIQ’s tagline, “Be Unique to Serve Lives,” we are pleased to be part of the 20th Asian Medical Camp 2026, organised by CIC Qatar, in association with the Indian Doctors Club, on 30 October 2026 at Umm Al Seneem Health Center.

As part of our commitment to community health and service, UNIQ Nurses will provide a range of Nursing and health-awareness services, including:

🔹 Triage, Clinic Support & Vital Signs Assessment
🔹 Health Literacy Exhibition Centre – healthy food choices, Glycemic Index, Smoking Cessation, lifestyle diseases & complications
🔹 BLS & First Aid Awareness
🔹 Health Education & Awareness Sessions in multiple languages
🔹 Lifestyle Disease Prevention & Healthy Living Guidance

UNIQ Meets the New Ambassador of India to Qatar, H.E. Dr. K. Srikar Reddy

United Nurses of India–Qatar (UNIQ) had the privilege of meeting the newly appointed Ambassador of India to Qatar, H.E. Dr. K. Srikar Reddy, in the presence of Dr. Dinesh Kumar Koul, Attaché, at Embassy of India, Doha.

UNIQ delegation included Ms. Bindu Linson, President; Mr. Nizar Cheruvath, General Secretary; Mr. Irshad Ali, Working Secretary; Mr. Jamsheer PA, Managing Committee Member; Mr. Midhun Mohan, Executive Member; and Ms. Sheena Joy Facility Lead.

During the meeting, UNIQ introduced its organisation, structure, workflow, and key activities supporting the Indian Nursing & other expatriate community in Qatar.

Various concerns and representations received from UNIQ registered members were consolidated and formally presented to the Ambassador through an official memorandum. H.E. the Ambassador and the Embassy team expressed their willingness to extend possible support on the matters discussed and also provided a point of contact for further communication and follow-up.

As a token of appreciation and respect, UNIQ presented a memento to H.E. Dr. K. Srikar Reddy, conveying our best wishes for his tenure and continued support for the welfare of the Indian community in Qatar.

Review Meeting | UNIQ ഓണനിലാവ് 2026

After every UNIQ event, we take time to sit together, reflect, and gather valuable feedback from the organising team. These discussions help us identify areas for improvement and strengthen our planning for future programmes.

As a token of love and appreciation, the UNIQ Managing Committee presented a small memento to Mr. Midhun Mohan, Programme Committee Lead, and Ms. Mary Jose, Co-Lead of UNIQ ഓണനിലാവ് 2026, during the review meeting.
