Technical Seminar Successfully Concluded

The Professional Mechanical Engineers and aspiring PMEs gathered last Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Riviera Hotel for a highly informative Technical Seminar on "DOLE Equipment Permitting Requirements for Professional Mechanical Engineers."

The seminar provided valuable insights into the latest regulatory requirements, permitting procedures, compliance standards, and the vital role of Professional Mechanical Engineers in ensuring adherence to government regulations.

The children of our late Charter President, Engr. Eugene Bautista, delivered a heartfelt message expressing their sincere gratitude to all the members who extended their sympathy, support, and condolences during the passing of their beloved father.

In recognition of his invaluable contributions, PSMEQ presented a Posthumous Award to our late Charter President as a tribute to his outstanding leadership, dedication, and lasting legacy in establishing and strengthening PSME here in Qatar. His unwavering commitment and service to the organization will always be remembered and honored by the entire PSMEQ community.

Furthermore, PPOQ extended financial assistance to the Bautista family, personally handed over by the PPOQ Chairman as a gesture of compassion and solidarity during this difficult time. Engr. Eugene Bautista was also one of the pioneers who helped establish PPOQ here in Qatar, making his contributions to the Filipino engineering community truly significant and enduring.

Yesterday marked the successful conclusion of the 2nd Technical Seminar of PSMEQ entitled “Calculation and Design of Membrane Biological Reactor.” thank you to the resource Speaker Engr. Joseph Mar D. Adrias. and to all BOT.
While the event was filled with learning and professional growth, it was also saddened by the heartfelt announcement during the welcome address of our PSMEQ President, Engr. Tata C. Maricol, regarding the passing of the beloved “Father of PSMEQ.”
It is truly a difficult and painful loss for the entire organization. However, his vision, dedication, and wish for PSMEQ to continue growing and prospering will always remain in our hearts. Though he may no longer be with us physically, his legacy and contributions will forever inspire every member of PSMEQ.
PSMEQ will never forget you. Your legacy will live on through the organization you helped build and strengthen. Rest in peace.
