ضمن برنامج “أنا وعائلتي”، نجتمع مع شركائنا في مركز صحة المرأة والأبحاث بمؤسسة حمد الطبية وجامعة حمد بن خليفة لاستكشاف دور القراءة في دعم رحلة الأمومة منذ بداياتها الأولى.

من خلال باقة قرائية مختارة بعناية، نسعى إلى تعزيز لحظات التعلّم والتواصل بين الأم وطفلها، وبناء علاقة تبدأ بالكلمة وتكبر مع الزمن. 🤝❤️

لأن القراءة ليست مجرد عادة... بل بداية لرحلة من الاكتشاف والنمو.

Through the “Parents-to-be” program, Qatar Reads joins hands with the Women’s Wellness and Research Center at Hamad Medical Corporation and Hamad Bin Khalifa University to explore the role reading can play in supporting the motherhood journey from its very first stages.

Through thoughtfully curated reading kit, we aim to nurture early moments of learning, connection, and bonding between mother and child—building a relationship that starts with words and grows over time. 🤝❤️

Because reading is more than a habit, it is the beginning of a lifelong journey of discovery and growth.

أطلقنا اليوم مشروعًا تجريبيًا جديدًا ضمن برنامج “أنا وعائلتي”، في إطار تعاون بين قطر تقرأ ومركز صحة المرأة والأبحاث التابع لمؤسسة حمد الطبية، وبالشراكة البحثية مع جامعة حمد بن خليفة، لاستكشاف كيف يمكن للقراءة أن تكون جزءًا من رحلة الأمومة منذ لحظاتها الأولى. 📚🤝

مبادرة تُقدّم للأمهات باقة قرائية مُختارة بعناية، لترافقهن في هذه المرحلة، وتفتح بابًا مبكرًا للتواصل، والتعلّم، والترابط.

رحلة تبدأ قبل الولادة… وأثرها يمتد لما بعدها. 💡❤️

Today, we launched a new pilot project under the “Parents-to-be” program, a collaboration between Qatar Reads and the Women’s Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), with Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) as the research partner, to explore how reading can become part of the motherhood journey from its earliest moments. 📚🤝

The initiative offers thoughtfully curated reading kits to accompany expectant mothers—opening early pathways for bonding, learning, and connection.

A journey that begins before birth… with an impact that lasts beyond it. 💡❤️

في رحلةٍ نسجها الخيال، خرجت "مريم" من صفحات قصتها إلى مجلسٍ قطري حيث اجتمع الأطفال والعائلات للاستماع إلى حكايتها 📖

وقدّمت قطر تقرأ هذه التجربة الخاصة لمشتركي برنامج القراءة للعائلة، حيث التقى الأطفال مع سعادة الدكتور حمد بن عبدالعزيز الكواري، وزير الدولة ورئيس مكتبة قطر الوطنية، وسعادة كريم مرقص، سفير كندا لدى دولة قطر 🇶🇦🇨🇦

وتضمنت الجلسة لقاءً مع الكاتبة والراوية مكين عاصي احتفاءً بالقراءة، والخيال، والتبادل الثقافي، والعام الثقافي قطر-كندا-
المكسيك 2026 🍁

In a journey shaped by imagination, “Maryam” stepped out of her book and into a Qatari majlis where children and families listened to her story.

Hosted by Qatar Reads for Family Reading Program subscribers, the children met with H.E. Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library, and H.E. Karim Morcos, Ambassador of Canada to the State of Qatar 🇶🇦🇨🇦

The session featured author and storyteller Mckeen Assi in a celebration of reading, imagination, cultural exchange and the Qatar-Canada-Mexico 2026 Year of Culture🍁

ضمن فعاليات العام الثقافي قطر-كندا-المكسيك 2026، وضمن باقات شهر مايو المخصصة لاستكشاف الثقافة الكندية عبر برنامج القراءة للعائلة، نظّمت "قطر تقرأ" جلسة رواية القصص "مريم في كندا" في مجلس سعادة الدكتور حمد بن عبدالعزيز الكواري، وزير الدولة ورئيس مكتبة قطر الوطنية، بحضور سعادة كريم مرقص، سفير كندا لدى دولة قطر.

جمعت الجلسة أطفالاً وعائلات من مشتركي البرنامج في تجربة ثقافية تفاعلية مع الكاتبة والراوية مكين عاصي، لاستكشاف تفاصيل الحياة والثقافة الكندية من خلال قصة "مريم في كندا".



As part of the Qatar, Canada and Mexico 2026 Year of Culture, and highlighting this month’s Family Reading Program packages dedicated to Canada, Qatar Reads hosted the “Maryam in Canada” storytelling session at the majlis of H.E. Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library, in the presence of H.E. Karim Morcos, Ambassador of Canada to the State of Qatar.

Bringing together children and families from the FRP community, the session offered an interactive cultural experience led by author and storyteller Mckeen Assi, inviting participants to further explore Canadian culture through the story “Maryam in Canada.”
