READ: The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Doha is monitoring developments 24/7 and is continuously coordinating with local authorities, various diplomatic missions in Doha, various Philippine Embassies across the region, and relevant offices in Manila as the current situation unfolds.
➤ As of this writing, a total of 1,361 Filipinos consisting of stranded passengers and distressed OFWs have returned to Manila and other onward destinations via the evacuation flights mounted by Qatar Airways beginning 07 March 2026.
➤ The Embassy provided assistance to at least 28 nationals who crossed the Qatar-Saudi border en route to Riyadh for their outbound flights, and assisted two (2) other OFWs in re-entering Qatar from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
➤ At least 73 nationals have received assistance for the issuance of Saudi entry visas.
➤ At least 476 affected OFWs have been assisted by the Embassy’s Migrant Workers Office, including 127 who were provided temporary accommodation.
➤ Several other stranded Filipino transit passengers and nationals on temporary visit have left for the Philippines. Those who remain in Qatar are either given hotel provision by their airlines or are under the care of their visa sponsors. The Embassy is aware of their whereabouts.
➤ Emergency consular and labor-related concerns are being addressed by the Embassy as per usual.
Local authorities affirm that they are in control of the situation and that the security landscape in Qatar remains stable. Nonetheless, the Embassy strongly encourages Filipinos in Qatar with non-emergency errands to remain indoors for their safety and adhere to guidelines provided by the Embassy and local authorities.
