Fundada em 12 de Junho de 2008 tendo em vista a prossecução dos seus objectivos a Associação desenvolverá por si ou em associação com outras entidades, acções aos seguintes domínios: Cultural, Científico, Educativo, Histórico, Turístico e da Cooperação. Podendo a Associação:
a) Difundir e preservar a amizade e interesses da comunidade portuguesa e luso-descendente em Malaca;
b) Organizar ou patr
ocinar actividades culturais e científicas através de conferências, seminários, exposições, publicações e outros eventos;
c) Intensificar a identidade, língua portuguesa e do crioulo de origem portuguesa (Kristang), cultura e presença portuguesa em Malaca;
d) Manter o legado português e luso-descendente existente, criado e instalando o Museu di Malacca como promoção da história e da passagem pela cidade, conquistada por Afonso de Albuquerque em 1511;
e) Promover convénios ou outros acordos com outras entidades, nacionais ou estrangeiras, tendo em vista a promoção das actividades da Associação;
f) Cooperar e estabelecer intercâmbio designadamente com:
- A Embaixada de Portugal em Banguecoque;
- O Consulado Honorário de Portugal em Kuala Lumpur na Malásia;
- O Leitorado de Língua e Cultura Portuguesa na Faculdade de Línguas e Linguistica da Universidade Malaya, em Kuala Lumpur na Malasia;
- A Melaka Historic City Council em Malaca;
- O Governo de Portugal, Malásia, cidade-estado de Singapura e PALOPs;
- A Camara Municipal de Lisboa, bem como outras instituições similares em Portugal e no estrangeiro;
- O Instituto Português de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento;
- Todas as Fundações e Associações Luso-descendentes;
- O Instituto doTurismo de Portugal, e outras entidades públicas ou privadas, ligadas ao turismo, hotelaria, viagens e ao património histórico-cultural. Sempre que se torne util, tendo em vista as suas finalidades, a Associação poderá estabelecer, delegações tanto nacionais como internacionais ou outras formas de representação social onde julgar conveniente. A Associação poderá filiar-se em Federações, Confederações ou quaisquer outros organismos, no país ou no estrangeiro. Established on the 12th of June 2008 with the view of the continuation of it’s objectives, the Association will develop on an individual basis or in association with other entities, actions on the following domains: Cultural, Scientific, Educational, Historic, Touristic and Cooperation. The Association will be able to:
a) Raise awareness on and preserve the friendship and interests of the portuguese and luso descendent community in Malacca;
b) Organise or sponsor cultural and scientific activities through conferences, seminars, exhibitions, publications and other events;
c) Intensify the identity, the portuguese language and the portuguese Creole (Kristang), cultural and portuguese presence in Malacca;
d) Maintain the existing portuguese and luso descendent legacy, creating and installing the Museu di Malacca as the promotion of the history and passage by the city, conquered by Afonso de Albuquerque in 1511;
e) Promote arrangements or other agreements with the nacional or foreign authorities, with the view of the promotion of the Association’s activities;
f) Cooperate and establish exchange namely with:
- The Portuguese Embassy in Bangkok;
- The Honorary Consulate of Portugal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia;
- The Lector of the Portuguese Language and Culture of the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics of the University of Malaya;
- The Melaka Historic City Council in Malacca;
- The Government of Portugal, Malaysia, city-state of Singapore and the Portuguese Speaking African Countries (PALOP- Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa);
- Lisbon City Council (Câmara Municipal de Lisboa), as well as other similar institutions in Portugal;
- Portuguese Institute for Aid and Development (Instituto Português de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento);
- All the luso descendants Foundations and Associations;
- The Institute of Tourism of Portugal, and other public or private entities connected to the tourism, hospitality, travel and to the historic and cultural heritage. Whenever useful, in line with it’s goals, the Association will be able to establish national and international delegations or other forms of social representation. The Association will be able to hold membership of Federations, Confederations or any other organism in Portugal or abroad.
