Our luxurious yurt in North Portugal is available for rent now! Including the flying terrace, an outside whirlpool bath and infra red sauna. We have made the difficult decision to move back to the Netherlands to be close to family and are not sure if and when we might come back to Na Fonte. The current state of our community project is that we are focusing our community efforts in the Netherlands and in the meantime rent out Na Fonte (tiny house and yurt). We thank everybody that has helped us with our vision so far and we wish for Na Fonte to remain a source of joy and connection with nature for our renters.

One year after we landed on this land! What a transformation it has been. From wilderness to wellness forest :-)Time to harvest. Sweet potatoes from the veggie garden! And After the starlit whirlpool bath a new big waterfall shower next to the yurt where we take our cold morning shower. And the latest upgrade: our big flying terrace, you go yannick! What a game changer. Now we actually manage to take a break and enjoy the beauty around us. We had lots of nice people visiting up till today. No family that stayed yet as the winter rains are quite a challenge without a community space. First priority next building season! Surrendering step by step to things taking more time to grow than we envisioned in our enthusiasm. So we ll spend the wintermonths in the Netherlands for some family time and reflections. The first ceremony on our land this weekend felt so special and at the same time ‘meant to be’. 11 women gathered for a cacao ceremony. The space we created in the old ruin was so loving and healing, as if the land whispered: yes please, you are so welcome… I hope many more rituals will follow.

The past two weeks we worked on the first veggie garden. We covered the grass with cardboard and then loaded organic compost on top so we ll hopefully have a weed-free start. Quite some work for a circle of 10m diameter but luckily we had friends over and beautiful weather 😊. Crazy warm today with 28 degrees… too hot for me!

Yesterday we watched the new documentary The Village of Lovers about Tamera Healing Biotope I - Portugal. Wow soooo inspiring! They live with 100+ people what we dream about: freeing love and eros within a safe container through regular sharings and rituals together. But also very engaged with what happens in the world, inviting Palestinians and Israelis to do peace work with them. Gives hope that it is possible to create a culture of trust. Step by step.
