What would make you walk 110 kilometres? ❤️
In just three weeks, 10 members of the Rotary Club of Silves will set off from Monchique on a seven-day journey to Cabo de São Vicente.
110 km. Together. For a reason that matters.
For weeks, Philippe, our walk leader, has been preparing and testing the route, helping the team get ready for what lies ahead.
Among them is Jim, the oldest walker at 83. Despite living with knee pain, Jim recently completed the final 7 km from Sagres to Cabo de São Vicente as part of the team’s preparations — and he is determined to take on the full challenge. 💪
Why?
Because every difficult kilometre has a purpose.
❤️ Health & Wellbeing is at the heart of our 110K Challenge. We want to help local families, particularly those with young children, access essential early-intervention support they may otherwise be unable to afford.
There will be tired legs and difficult moments. But behind every step is the possibility of making a real difference to a child and their family.
🎯 Our goal is €6,000 — and we need your help to reach it.
Philippe and Jim are just two of the 10 people behind this challenge. As we count down to 10 October, we’ll share more of their stories and what is motivating them to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
If 10 people are prepared to walk 110 km for their community, will you help make their steps count? 💙💛
