Cougars family, here is a message from Jeff’s son Jeff Jr.

Family, Friends, Coaches, Players, and Colleagues,

Please join us on April 13, 2024 to celebrate the life of Coach Jeff Barretto at the Capital Christian Football Stadium. Celebration will begin at 2:30pm.

Casual attire, but team jerseys, car shirts, BMX gear, and vans shoes are encouraged. Parking and directions to the stadium are pictured. Please feel free to pass along the information to all who knew Coach.

Once again, I will be sharing this from my dad’s account to ensure that everyone is notified of the celebration. The Barretto family truly appreciates the love, prayers, and support we have been receiving. It has truly been blessing to my mom, Jace, and myself.

It is with a heavy heart that we share this saddening news, that one of our beloved Jr. Cougar coaches went home with the Lord.

Coach Jeff Barretto was battling cancer, and the Lord brought him home this Tuesday. Coach Barretto was a mentor to many players and coaches.

His presence will truly be missed, but his legacy and spirit will live on forever. We thank you Coach for all of your countless hours you invested with us.

It truly was a “Great day to be a Cougar” having you out there. May the Lord bless your family and we thank you for love and dedication.

Celebration of Life will be held next week and the details will be shared soon.

Jr. Cougar Families:

As a reminder - 10 hours of volunteering for one student athlete or 15 hours for more than one was shared at the beginning of the season.

It takes a village and currently we have volunteer spots open both in the high school and our youth program (two different opportunities).

If you have a friend or family member over the age of 18 years old who’s willing to help you then please feel free to sign them up and add your athlete’s name for credit.

What an exciting JPW game vs Granite Bay Jr. Grizzlies!!

The outcome on the scoreboard wasn’t what we expected but being able to watch our players on the field has been an amazing blessing!

This game is more than just football - it’s about learning, being humble, taking responsibility, being a good team player as well as utilizing your strengths which God created you for in all situations.

Many blessings and great job JPW team!!

Jr. Cougar Families:

ALL outstanding paperwork will need to be turned in by Tuesday, August 8 at 7:30 pm! We have extended this date however we will not be able to make any exceptions afterwards.

IF we do not receive the paperwork by Tuesday evening, we will NOT be able to have your student athlete certified on Wednesday, August 9., 2023.

Official 1st day of Jr. Cougar football 🏈 practice (acclimation hours) … our student athletes were AMAZING!! Great job being out there, clocking in those hours and showing up without giving up!!

SO thankful to our HS coaches for being out there to walk alongside our Jr. Coaches too!!

Proud of you all!! Let’s go!! 🐾 💙

Our Capital Christian Jr. Cougar Cheer (minus our mascots) day 3 of 5 of their camp!! It’s been such an amazing start to our 2023 season … these girls are SO excited to learn from their coaches!!

Let’s not forget that this year …. Jr. Cheer girls have TWO competitions!!! Let’s make sure to save the dates on our calendar and show our support!!

Last day of our Capital Christian Jr. Cougar Conditioning Camp in the books!!! It was hot 🥵 however being out there hearing these kids having fun, working hard and competing amongst their teammates has been the biggest blessing by far!!

Here’s to the 2023 season!! Let’s go!! 🐾
