The project will be an art youth initiative taking place in "Grande Porto". We will also include students of Second Chance Schools, Matosinhos. The aim of the projects is to involve those students at risk of social exclusion and minorities in some artistic workshops, dance classes and other workshops mostly related with physical and social development. Our partners will be: EB “Maria Manuela de Sá
” do Agrupamento de Escolas de S. Mamede de Infesta; school and kindergarten from: Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Leonardo Coimbra (Filho). We also will involve one school from Matosinhos. The project will increase the interest of participants in arts as well as will raise the motivation of the students to participate in school activities. Thanks to the workshops led by experienced trainers, participants will have a chance and possibility to know each other and meet their peers from other schools, together to be a part of creative activities, to gain new knowledge and skills, to express themselves and to participate in a public performance. Workshops like dances, puppetry, visual arts and performing led by professional trainers, will contribute for the final performance and will make visible and popular the non-formal education and the creative methods preventing drop-out. The project will have round table which aim is to discuss the gained experience with students and teachers from all participated schools and also we will invite people and journalist out of the school. They will discuss the motivation to attend or not school. The round table will be right after the performance and will attract people, related with dropping-out problem. During the project we will make questionnaire, which will serve as a base for the round table. Flayer materials, presentations, photo-collections and movie about art method in education will support the project and help for popularization the initiative itself.
