A month ago, everything was new. 🇵🇹 🧡

New streets to get lost in, new faces that would become familiar, new places to call home, and a thousand little moments that made a foreign country feel a little less foreign. 🌍

Across Portugal, our local sections opened their doors to students starting one of the biggest adventures of their lives. And now, a month later, those first moments are already memories.🙂

To everyone who started their journey with us: this was only the beginning!🫂

Your Erasmus doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. 🧡

You can be living your dream and still miss home. You can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely. And you can be grateful for this experience without feeling okay every single day. Give yourself time. Be kind to yourself. And remember that you don’t have to figure everything out alone.🫂

When you go abroad, language can sometimes feel like a barrier.🫂
But then, somehow, you start finding other ways to connect.✳

Because communication is not only about speaking the same language. It’s also about feeling welcomed, being understood, and finding people who make an effort to understand you. 🗣

That’s one of the most beautiful things about international experiences.🤩

Some connections don’t need a translation.
Some moments need no subtitle. 💙

A participação permitiu dar palco e abordar diferentes dimensões da mobilidade Erasmus+, desde as oportunidades proporcionadas pelo programa até ao papel da ESN Portugal no apoio aos estudantes internacionais. ✈

A conversa trouxe ainda para o centro uma realidade que muitos estudantes enfrentam: as dificuldades financeiras. 💶 Porque viver uma experiência de mobilidade é muito mais do que fazer as malas. Para muitos estudantes, conseguir sequer partir continua a ser um desafio.

Dar voz a estas dificuldades também é trabalhar por uma mobilidade mais acessível e inclusiva. 🫶

ESN Portugal levou a voz dos estudantes à Comissão de Educação e Ciência. Durante a sua intervenção foram apresentados os resultados da XV ESNsurvey, o maior estudo europeu sobre mobilidade estudantil. 🌍📚

Continuamos empenhados em dar voz às realidades, aos desafios e às oportunidades vividos pelos estudantes em programas de mobilidade internacional. Reforçamos a necessidade de implementar medidas concretas que tornem estas experiências mais acessíveis, inclusivas e democráticas.✳💡

Levar a perspetiva dos estudantes ao centro da discussão política é essencial para construir um sistema de ensino superior mais aberto, inclusivo e global.✈️
