The Portuguese presence at the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026 had the pleasure of welcoming Minister-Counsellor Maria João Coutinho from the Embassy of Portugal in Italy, joined by Dr. Carlos Nunes Pinto, Sara Pargana, and Iacopo Tropiano from AICEP.

This visit reflected the increasing international attention drawn by Portuguese design, as well as its strong reputation for quality and innovation.

APIMA is in Milan attending an international partners meeting as part of the Fitt-Ness project.

This initiative connects four regional innovation ecosystems in the furniture sector, Lombardy in Italy, Murcia in Spain, Northern Portugal and Sicily in Italy, promoting collaboration, knowledge sharing and innovation.

The project strengthens interregional partnerships and creates new business opportunities for companies in the sector.

The Seoul Living Design Fair 2026 has come to an end, and the balance could not be more positive.

From the first handshake to the final toast, the Made in Portugal naturally space - curated by APIMA - was a favorite for visitors looking for quality, sustainability and unique craftsmanship.

We leave Seoul with a sense of mission accomplished, having strengthened ties with the South Korean market and inspired a new audience with our heritage and innovation.

A huge thank you to all the participating companies for representing the soul of Portuguese industry so well.

🏆 Celebrating Portuguese excellence at SLDF! The MADE IN PORTUGAL Naturally stand was recognized as the Best Stand at the Seoul Living Design Fair and also received the Best International Participation award. This recognition reflects the growing international visibility and influence of Portuguese design, highlighting the originality, skill, and innovation that define the country’s home industry.
