A APF - Associação para o Planeamento da Família foi fundada em 1967. É uma organização não-governamental com o estatuto de IPSS e atua nas áreas da saúde, da educação e dos direitos ajudando as pessoas a fazerem escolhas livres e conscientes na sua vida s*xual e reprodutiva e promovendo uma parentalidade positiva. A APF tem contribuído para a mudança social e para alcançar alterações legais e pol
íticas nas áreas em que atua, assumindo-se um agente ativo e pioneiro na tomada de posições, no debate público e na apresentação de propostas ao Governo e à Assembleia da República. Percursora na promoção dos direitos e da saúde s*xual e reprodutiva, o trabalho da APF desenvolve uma resposta integrada que abrange a intervenção junto de grupos mais vulneráveis da população, a educação s*xual, a formação de técnicos, a investigação, tendo uma participação regular em projetos de âmbito nacional e internacional. A sua estrutura é assegurada por voluntários e profissionais, que apoiam o trabalho a nível nacional e nas seis delegações regionais em que a APF se organiza: APF Alentejo, APF Algarve, APF Centro, APF Lisboa, Tejo e Sado, APF Madeira e APF Norte. It’s a non-governmental organization that operates in the areas of health, education and rights helping people make free and informed choices in their s*xual and reproductive lives and promoting positive parenting. APF has contributed to social change and to achieve legal and political changes in the Portuguese society, by acting and taking pioneer positions in the public debate and by presenting proposals to national Governments and Parliament. Forerunner in the promotion of human rights and s*xual and reproductive health, APF develops an integrated work response that includes intervention with vulnerable groups of the population, s*x education, technical training, research, national and international cooperation in human rights projects. APF structure is supported by volunteers and professionals who work at national level and in the six regional offices: APF Alentejo, APF Algarve, APF Centro, APF Lisboa, Tejo e Sado, APF Madeira and APF Norte.
