Day 6 Recap - February 7, 2026 ❄️

The WELS week came to an end with our Gala, bringing together participants to celebrate a week marked by learning, exchange, and shared experiences. We would like to sincerely thank all participants for their openness, energy, and the positive atmosphere they helped create throughout the programme.

Your participation was essential in making this week so meaningful, and we hope the connections, knowledge, and memories created during WELS will remain long after its conclusion. 💙

MOOT COURT recap ❄️

Within the framework of the Moot Court organized during our WELS Vila Nova de Gaia on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law, we would like to extend our sincere congratulations to all participants for their remarkable dedication, professionalism, and outstanding advocacy skills demonstrated throughout the competition. Your commitment and enthusiasm were instrumental to the success of this activity.

We thank you all for contributing to an experience that was both academically enriching and truly memorable. 🎓

Days 4 and 5 recap - February 5 & 6, 2026 ❄️

The 4th and 5th days were all about sharing academic and cultural knowledge. On day 4, the participants’ effort and dedication in preparing for the moot court truly stood out! 📚
(But of course, there was also time to enjoy the end of the day with a karaoke session. 🎙️)

The following day, we slowed down with a visit to the museum of our historic electric car — the perfect way to unwind after the intense experience of the moot court held in the morning! 🎓

Day 3 Recap - February 4, 2026 ❄️

Yesterday, as part of the academic component of the programme, the participants had the opportunity to visit the Porto Court of Appeal.

As part of the social side of our WELS, they spent the afternoon discovering the streets of Porto and climbed the six narrow floors of our historic Clérigos Tower.

The evening ended with a fantastic dinner and an unforgettable experience enjoying Porto’s nightlife. 🪩🕺

The participants immersed themselves in Portuguese culture — learning about how Port wine is made and trying our famous francesinha. 😋

After welcoming our participants, we officially started an incredible week ahead. 🙌🏼

From a morning full of learning to tasting our traditional “pastel de nata”, the day was all about sharing and connecting.
