Looking for a place to volunteer?
When I bougth this place I imediatly felt that it belonged to all the people who make a conection with it. Its mi6ne in paper and I pay for taxes and animal food (I'm included) but it belongs to everybody.
So, dont expect me to tell you what you must do. Off course there are the seasonable work like grabing figs, almonds, olives and carobs that are a must but the rest of the time you are invited to do what you most feel like... Prunning? Cleaning? Natural building? Organizing? Painting? Neating? Collage? Fiberwork? Vegetable garden?(We need desperatly to start one)! Cooking? Play music? (Yes, if you play philarmonic instrument and you are staying long term... You are most welcome to join Padernes' philarmonic with more than 160 years old!) Read a book? To be with the donkeys and make some money with turists?... or just be with them and help cleaning... ? Dancing? Singing? (Yes, there is also the possibility to join Padernes' choir). A walk with the dogs; some help with the kids (they keep popping up)...
Asking 4 hours of commitment per day is what we expect of the volunteers.
We give a place to stay and open our food shelve. Access to wc and shower.
Its very important to bring your own pocket money so it does not become a heavy burdon to me; Bring good positive energy to be able to feel good and make others feel the same...
