Cell Cycle Regulation Laboratory

Cell Cycle Regulation Laboratory Our group is interested in understanding how our cells work. In our group we have people from 3 different continents and different scientific backgrounds.

We all start with a single cell that multiplies several times so that we end up with our body (100 trillion cells!). In our laboratory we are interested in the process of cell multiplication and also in cellular movement driven by flagella. It turns out that there is a tiny structure inside our cells that we call centrioles and that is involved both in cell multiplication and making flagella! Thes

e structures are beautiful and they just look the same in many different organisms…isn´t that amazing? This is really important to get a mixture of ways of thinking and come up with original ideas and strategies to answer our questions.
