We are a vegan animal sanctuary in central Portugal. We also run a dog and cat sterilisation programme to help stop suffering.

This week we sterilised 11 animals
2 female dogs
6 female cats
3 male cats
We continue on, week after week,
Its the only way to stop the horrendous animal suffering of starving sick street cats , over crowded shelters and people throwing kittens and puppies in the trash.

Someone complained " there will be no dogs and cats left"
There will always be dogs and cats. We just want to stop the suffering due to over population. We also want to help those with owners who dont under stand that animals are sentient beings.

Fantastic news
Amber is adopted and will go to her new home in 10 days.
We are so happy for her
Amber is one of the 2 week old pups that arrived here in August last year. I bottle fed her and her siblings.
Her brother Archie and sister April are also wonderful dogs still looking for their forever homes.

2am and awake. Had fallen asleep but woke up to little Brewster vomiting. Its the pups 4 week Birthday today. Vomiting in little pups is much more dangerous than in adult dogs. I have given him some Reiki and cuddles. They are not hungry, but they ate recently. Hopefully it was a one off.

We have had 15 new intakes today. 1 horse, 4 kittens and 10 orphaned ducklings.
More about everyone tomorrow. Now its time for bed.

Yesterday we assisted in the sterilisation of 6 animals
4 female dogs and 2 male cats
Massive thank you to Dr Sonia and her associates at Clinica Veterinaria Mangualde for working late into the night after a super busy day.

Urgent adoption or fosters needed.

This beautiful 1 year old cat needs a home. She is in danger of being killed by a resident in the area she lives, her brother has already disappeared. But if he can be found we would like to rehome them together.
She will come to me tomorrow, she will be given a flea and parasite treatment, sterilised and i can provide 10 kg of food to get her started.

This old male dogs owner died and there is no one able or willing to take him on. He will come to us on Sunday but it would be great to find him a home or foster. Good with cats and dogs jas lived in tje house.

Name Please

Our newest member and it was quite uncertain if she would survive. She arrived whilst I was away, Helene one of our regular volunteers did a great job keeping her alive, in-between feeding the pups and other jobs!
This little love is 4-6 weeks old and needs a name.

Highest bidder gets to name her.

Do not send any money until I have told you you won the bidding to name her.

Any donations to help her get healthy much appreciated. We dont know yet if she has an eye or not. So far we havent seen one.
