WALKING SEMINAR🚶🏻♀️🚶🏾🚶🏼♂️📚🏛️🪨🇵🇹
From April 11–17, 2026, the Walking Seminar “Landscapes, Archaeology and Living Heritage”, integrated in the Kreative EU of the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, successfully took place in central Portugal.
Organised by the Instituto Terra e Memória (Mação) and the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, this one-week immersive experience brought together students, early-career researchers, and professionals for an engaging journey across archaeological, cultural, and historical landscapes.
Through site visits, field discussions, and in-situ learning, participants explored key locations including Mação, the Tagus Valley rock art sites, Abrantes, Évora, Gruta do Escoural, and the megalithic landscapes of Alentejo.
A week of exchange, discovery, and dialogue that strengthened connections and deepened our understanding of human–environment interactions.

Entre os dias 11 e 17 de abril de 2026 realizou-se, com grande sucesso, o Walking Seminar “Landscapes, Archaeology and Living Heritage”, integrado no Kreative EU do Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, no centro de Portugal.
Organizado pelo Instituto Terra e Memória (Mação) e pelo Instituto Politécnico de Tomar, este seminário imersivo reuniu estudantes, investigadores em início de carreira e profissionais numa experiência única de aprendizagem no terreno.
Ao longo da semana, através de visitas de campo, discussões e atividades in situ, foram explorados locais como Mação, a arte rupestre do Vale do Tejo, Abrantes, Évora, a Gruta do Escoural e as paisagens megalíticas do Alentejo.
Uma semana marcada pela partilha, descoberta e diálogo, reforçando ligações e aprofundando o conhecimento sobre as interações entre o ser humano e o ambiente.
