We are super excited to announce a new collaboration with Association Objectif Environnement and Noam Yaron to investigate the presence and atmospheric transport of microplastics at extreme altitude.
During his ascent of Manaslu, reaching 8,163 metres, Noam Yaron will collect microplastic samples at different elevations, without supplemental oxygen and in some of the most challenging conditions on Earth.
Months of preparation, specially developed equipment and a new scientific protocol will make it possible to take microplastic research higher than ever before.
Together, we are connecting sport, exploration and science to better understand and protect even the most remote environments.
Before mountaineering, Noam is known for breaking the world record for the longest swim spending 191km and more than 102h in the Mediterranean.
At the time he also collected data during his swim, using sports to raise awareness about the importance to protect one of the most polluted seas in the world.
So many values in commun for an extraordinary Sports for Nature project: from the highest summits to the Ocean. 🔬🌊🏔️
