Happy International Youth Day! 🎉

Young people are at the heart of the EU’s future, and the latest figures show encouraging progress.

In 2025, 11.0% of young people aged 15–29 in the EU were neither in employment nor in education or training (NEET), down from 15.2% in 2015.

That brings us closer to our goal of reducing the NEET rate to 9% by 2030. 🎯

The European Pillar of Social Rights is our compass as we work towards a more inclusive Europe, where every young person has the opportunity to learn, work and thrive.

🇳🇱 Lowest NEET rates:
Netherlands - 5.3%
Sweden - 5.9%

📈 Highest NEET rates:
Romania - 19.2%
Bulgaria - 13.8%
