On September 29th at 4:00 PM, Francesca Soster, a researcher at MARE – Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre (Madeira), will share her perspective on the impact of climate change on marine ecosystems and biodiversity.

Impacts on Oceans and Biodiversity: Exploring how rising water temperatures affect marine environments, altering habitats and threatening species.
Ecosystem Response: Analyzing changes in the behavior and geographical distribution of marine species (such as cetaceans), as well as the adaptation and resilience challenges faced by aquatic populations.
Future Perspectives: Projected scenarios for the coming decades, identifying uncertainties alongside conservation opportunities in the Macaronesia region and globally.
