Ontem celebrámos um dos momentos mais especiais do ano: o Convívio de Natal da WISTA Portugal, realizado em simultâneo em Lisboa e no Funchal.
Foi uma oportunidade única para reforçar ligações, acolher novas associadas e brindar ao trabalho extraordinário que todas as mulheres da nossa comunidade têm vindo a desenvolver no setor marítimo e logístico.

Um grande obrigada a todas as participantes que fizeram desta celebração um momento tão acolhedor. Que 2026 nos traga ainda mais oportunidades de colaboração, crescimento e impacto no nosso setor!

Today our president had the pleasure of participating in the “Women in Blue Economy” conference, organized by NOVA School of Law.

🇵🇹 No quarto dia do Madeira Maritime Week 2025, os participantes tiveram a oportunidade de experienciar a riqueza natural e cultural da ilha que acolhe o Registo Internacional de Navios da Madeira (MAR). O programa incluia as seguintes atividades:
- uma Levada
- Canyoning
- Percurso de Jeep com prova de vinhos regionais
- Passeio de catamarã com avistamento de golfinhos e mergulho no Atlântico
- B2B meeting

O dia terminou com um descontraído e elegante Sunset Drinks by the Sea no restaurante Basalto, com vista privilegiada sobre o oceano — um momento perfeito para partilhar experiências e reforçar conexões num ambiente único.

🇬🇧 On the fourth day of Madeira Maritime Week 2025, participants were invited to discover the natural beauty and culture of the island that hosts the Madeira International Shipping Register (MAR). The day’s programme offered the following experiences:
- Levada walk through scenic landscapes
- Canyoning in Madeira’s rivers
- Off-road Jeep adventure and Regional wine tasting
- Catamaran tour with dolphin sightings and a swim in the Atlantic Ocean
- B2B meeting

The day concluded with a relaxed and stylish Sunset Drinks by the Sea at Basalto restaurant, overlooking the ocean — the perfect setting for sharing stories and strengthening professional bonds.

No dia 21 de maio, no âmbito do Madeira Maritime Week 2025, decorreu o WISTA Atlantic Forum sobre Reduzir a Burocracia na Indústria Marítima, um momento de elevado valor estratégico para o setor.

A sessão contou com intervenções de grande relevo, incluindo as principais oradoras, Carla Olival (EUROPEAN MAR (EUROMAR)) e Jeanne Grasso (Blank Rome LLP), e um painel de especialistas com moderação de Marina Pimenta (Governo Regional da Madeira) e participações de Claudia Santos Cruz (Morais Leitão), André Duro (EUROPEAN MAR (EUROMAR)), Nektaria Retsou (hellas confidence shipmanagement sa) e Nazli Selek (NSN Law Firm, WISTA International ).

On May 21st, as part of Madeira Maritime Week 2025, we held the WISTA Atlantic Forum on Reducing Bureaucracy in the Shipping Industry, a high-impact session with strategic value for the sector.

Keynote addresses were delivered by Carla Olival (EUROPEAN MAR (EUROMAR)) and Jeanne Grasso (Blank Rome LLP), followed by a panel discussion moderated by Marina Pimenta (Governo Regional da Madeira) with contributions from Claudia Santos Cruz (Morais Leitão), André Duro (EUROPEAN MAR (EUROMAR)), Nektaria Retsou (hellas confidence shipmanagement sa) and Nazli Selek (NSN Law Firm, WISTA International ).

A rich exchange that reaffirms WISTA’s role as a driver of dialogue and transformation in the maritime industry.

O segundo dia do foi marcado por debates relevantes e momentos de grande partilha.
🔹 A manhã começou com conferências dedicadas ao setor marítimo no Hotel Savoy Palace, onde foram abordados temas estratégicos para o futuro da indústria.
🔹 Seguiu-se um almoço de networking no acolhedor restaurante Terreiro.
🔹 O dia terminou com um animado Arraial na Quinta de São Gonçalo — uma excelente oportunidade para conhecer melhor a cultura e hospitalidade madeirenses.
A WISTA Portugal teve o prazer de participar em mais um dia enriquecedor, lado a lado com profissionais do setor marítimo nacional e internacional.

The week kicked off with a welcome reception at the rooftop of the Savoy Palace Hotel, bringing together maritime professionals from the regional, national, and international sectors. WISTA Portugal was present for this moment of networking and exchange, reinforcing its active role in promoting diversity and leadership within the industry.
