Youth Manifesto for Energy:

The Sustainergy project was built on the idea that young people must have an active voice in shaping the transition to a greener society. After days of discussion, critical thinking, and intercultural cooperation, our participants consolidated their ideas into our second major outcome: the Youth Manifesto for Energy.

This manifesto is a direct call for change, outlining a clear vision for a fair and sustainable future by 2035. It addresses current realities and proposes concrete actions across five key areas: responsible consumption, transport, renewable energy, social justice, and sustainable digitalisation. The document breaks down what governments, communities, and young people should do to ensure an energy future that is affordable, inclusive, and built to last. We demand a society where vulnerable people are protected, and every generation is empowered to contribute.

Read our proposals and commitments in the full manifesto below.

Energy Diary:

The Sustainergy project brought together young minds from different countries to explore energy literacy, challenge old habits, and rethink how we consume resources. Throughout this youth exchange, our participants worked on a very special collaborative tool, and we are excited to finally share it with you: the Energy Diary.

This digital diary is the interactive heart of the project, created by mixed intercultural groups. It serves as a living document that captures the participants' journey towards a more sustainable future, featuring a vibrant collection of texts, photographs, digital illustrations, videos, and personal testimonies. More than just a summary of activities, the Energy Diary reflects a collective transition and highlights young people as active agents of change in energy literacy. It is now available as an open-access resource, aiming to inspire other communities to adopt mindful energy habits.

Connecting with real environments and local contexts brings sustainability into perspective.

Observing how communities interact with natural resources helps to better understand the practical side of energy challenges.

These experiences bridge the gap between theory and reality.

They also inspire participants to think about how solutions can be applied in their own communities.

Sustainergy 🔌

Energy is deeply embedded in our daily lives, often unnoticed until it is no longer available.

Reflecting on access, dependence, and inequality helps to highlight its true importance.

These insights encourage a more conscious and responsible approach to energy use.

Recognizing its value is essential for building a fair and inclusive energy transition.

Sustainergy 🌱

Sustainability starts with everyday choices. Reflecting on habits, consumption patterns, and lifestyle decisions helps to connect personal actions with global environmental challenges.

Understanding this connection is a key step towards more responsible behavior. When awareness increases, even small changes can contribute to a more sustainable future.

Sustainergy 🧠

Building a sustainable future requires more than information, it requires reflection and critical thinking. Questioning ideas, debating different viewpoints, and understanding multiple perspectives are key parts of the process.

Through dialogue, participants begin to see that energy decisions are not only technical, but also social and political.

Finding common ground becomes just as important as expressing individual opinions.

Sustainergy 🌍

Energy challenges are shared globally, but experienced differently across countries. Exploring these diverse realities helps to better understand the complexity of sustainability and the need for tailored solutions.

By exchanging perspectives, young people gain a broader and more critical view of the current situation.

Learning from each other becomes a powerful tool for awareness and change.

Sustainergy ⚡

Every journey begins with connection, trust, and openness. Creating a safe and inclusive environment allows young people to share their perspectives, step out of their comfort zones, and truly engage with others.

Through interaction and mutual understanding, a diverse group slowly becomes a team.

These first steps are essential to build meaningful learning and collaboration throughout the project.

Day 4 – The Reality of Our Countries (Part II)
The presentations continued, offering a deep look into the environmental and social challenges faced by each country represented in the project. Through these comparisons, participants discovered how interconnected our realities are — and how shared issues can inspire shared solutions. Later, the Photo Workshop introduced creative and documentary photography techniques, preparing everyone for the creation of the Sustainability Album, the final product of the project.
In the evening, we enjoyed the intercultural nights of Romania, Poland, and Bulgaria, where participants shared their delicious traditional food, vibrant culture, and lively folk dances. It was a night full of laughter, music, and connection — a perfect reminder of the richness of Europe’s diversity and the joy of learning from one another.
