🧑‍🎨 Meet the final artists taking part in our Art for Purpose event, happening this Saturday, 3 October 2026 at 3pm at The Farol Hotel in Cascais, in partnership with ExpatsCascais – completing an incredible collection of creative talent coming together in support of education! 🧡

Join us for an afternoon of art, music and purpose, featuring an exhibition and auction of original works from artists who give back through their craft. Every piece sold will help support Brave Future’s education programmes for girls learning in secret in Afghanistan and young refugees in Kenya’s Kakuma Camp working towards internationally recognised qualifications.

Peace means being able to learn without fear, but for millions of children living through conflict and crisis, education is one of the first things to be disrupted.

👉258 million children and adolescents are affected by crises worldwide, with 93 million completely out of school.

This International Day of Peace, we stand for education that reaches children, even in the most difficult places. ☮️

What better way to celebrate World Literacy Day than with the learners at our Kakuma Hub, who have just completed writing their new books! 🙌📙

Literacy opens doors to knowledge, opportunity and the freedom to shape futures. Yet millions of young people and adults worldwide still lack basic literacy skills, and 4 in 10 children are not reaching reading proficiency.

This is a wonderful reflection of how far they’ve come, and we could not be prouder!

On this International Day of Charity, we’re reminded of the power of giving and the difference it can make in a young person’s life. ❤️

At Brave Future, we work to empower young people in underserved communities, such as the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, by providing access to quality education and helping learners take back control of their futures. Our vision: a world where every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to learn, grow and overcome the barriers that stand in the way of their future.
