Quinta das Relvas - Artes e Sustentabilidade is a farm and an NGO association located in Branca, Albergaria-a-Velha, Portugal. Here, our main goal is to learn, teach and share experiences related to Art and Nature.

Após apresentação na PLATO Évora em Setembro passado, NUM PISCAR DE OLHOS inaugura agora no Cineteatro Alba no dia 15 de outubro pelas 21h00, apresentando os resultados da última edição da GRÃO - Residência Artística e de Investigação, que ocorreu entre 13 de abril e 3 de maio na Quinta das Relvas! ✨

As artistas representadas são Aúna Nunes, Cheila Garcia, Elisabete Sousa, Filipa Almeida, Inês Raposo e Sara Chitas, selecionadas por open call.

Esta exposição reunirá o resultado direto de um período de três semanas em que as artistas desenvolveram projetos pessoais de investigação e criação informados pelo contexto particular oferecido pelo território que as acolheu, num tempo pautado por visitas de estudo a nível local e regional e sessões de mentoria lideradas por outros artistas nacionais de reconhecido mérito.

A exposição estará patente até 8 de novembro. Vemo-nos por lá? 🔦

Following its presentation at PLATO Évora last September, NUM PISCAR DE OLHOS now opens at Cineteatro Alba on 15 October at 9 pm, showcasing the outcomes of the latest edition of GRÃO – Artistic and Research Residency, which took place at Quinta das Relvas from 13 April to 3 May! ✨

The participating artists are Aúna Nunes, Cheila Garcia, Elisabete Sousa, Filipa Almeida, Inês Raposo and Sara Chitas, selected through an open call.

This exhibition brings together the direct outcomes of a three-week period during which the artists developed individual research and creative projects, informed by the particular context of the territory that hosted them. The residency was shaped by local and regional study visits, as well as mentoring sessions led by other nationally acclaimed artists.

The exhibition will be on view until 8 November. See you there? 🔦

3rd GALAFEST: Art & Permaculture - a critical review(part 2)

A 3ª GALAFest aconteceu em junho de 2026, acolhida pela Quinta das Relvas com o apoio do programa Erasmus+, reunindo artistas, agentes culturais e ativistas representantes de várias entidades membros desta Aliança Internacional para rever e atualizar, colaborativamente, os princípios da Permacultura.

As atividades desenvolvidas recorreram a abordagens artísticas, pensamento especulativo e narrativa para abordar a justiça ambiental. Partindo de diversas experiências e perspetivas, os participantes partilharam entre si conhecimentos, reflexões e práticas. Explorando temas como o cuidado, o descanso e a responsabilidade coletiva, as atividades combinaram brainstorming, processos críticos e criativos e abordagens interdisciplinares que permitiram aprofundar e ampliar as questões em discussão, colocando diferentes perspetivas em diálogo e promovendo uma compreensão mais informada.💜🐛

3rd GALAFest took place in june 2026, hosted by Quinta das Relvas and supported by the Erasmus+ programme, bringing together artists, cultural practitioners, and activists representing various organisations that are members of this International Alliance to collaboratively review and update the principles of Permaculture.

Participants engaged with artistic approaches to environmental justice, speculative thinking, and storytelling. Drawing on their diverse experiences and well-informed perspectives, they shared knowledge, reflections, and practices with one another. They explored themes of care, rest, and collective responsibility, while collaborative activities combining brainstorming, critical and creative processes, and interdisciplinary approaches allowed them to open up and deepen questions, bringing different perspectives into dialogue and fostering a more nuanced understanding. 💜🐛
