AFID Diferença Foundation is an Institution of Social Solidarity, created on June 23 (2005), by the National Association of Families for the Integration of the Disabled Person – AFID (1985), which is dedicated to rehabilitation initiatives, education, training and socio-professional integration of people with disabilities. The Foundation also promotes a set of activities to support the community a

nd provides services in the areas of assistance and social solidarity, as well as child, senior care and environmental. AFID Diferença Foundation is the first Institution in the area of social intervention, in Portugal, certified by the norm ISO 9001:2008, by the Brand ISS Level A and by EQUASS Excellence. Currently, AFID Diferença Foundation, as a whole, serves over 1.300 people in the areas of Infancy, People with Disability, Youngsters, Adults and Elderly, and employs daily over 143 staff members, it is one of the main Social Institutions of the country – by its dimension, diversity and complementary services it provides and by the quality of management and the technical team.
