We are so happy to announce that we have officially opened registrations for our 2026 Forum in Tartu, Estonia! The Forum will take place from the 8th until the 10th of October, and will be kindly hosted by TARTUH.

Looking back on the incredible event we had last week, and we are so so happy to have seen so many engaged and inspiring participants help innovate and contribute to the field of Physiotherapy education.

We kindly thank all members who joined us and who constantly drive our network forward with their work, and of course the amazing organisation and collaboration of University College of Northern Denmark (Fysioterapeutuddannelsen, UCN), who carried out a really successful Workshop! 👏

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Karel Stappaerts.

Professor Stappaerts was the founder and first president of ENPHE, and as such, he will always hold a special place in the heart of the organisation and its members. His dedication is an inspiration to us all, and we sincerely thank him for his innovative mind and immense contribution throughout the years.

Steven Onkelinx will be attending the memorial of Professor Stappaerts as a representative of ENPHE.

From the 16th to the 20th of February 2026, the ENPHE Working Group of Artificial Intelligence in Physiotherapy Education co-facilitated the second edition of the Blended Intensive Programme “AI for Students” at Palacký University Olomouc.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the hosting institution, and in particular to Ondřej Laštovička and Martin Dvořáček for their excellent organisation and warm welcome.

More than 25 students from eight countries explored how artificial intelligence can support both their academic journey and their future professional practice, including its role as a personal assistant, learning companion, creative partner, research support tool, and clinical aid. The final group presentations were particularly impressive, demonstrating thoughtful reflection, practical application, and well-developed use cases grounded in professional relevance.

We now look forward to the next edition of this programme, as well as to the third edition of the Blended Intensive Programme “AI in Education and Research”, to be hosted by the University of Applied Sciences Lavoslav Ružička in Vukovar, Croatia.

O Departamento de Fisioterapia da ESSAlcoitão assinalou este dia com a participação no International Photo Challenge, uma iniciativa internacional inserida nas comemorações globais do World PT Day, com o tema:
🟢 “The Impact of Environment in Human Movement and Autonomy”

Integrado no projeto de internacionalização da unidade curricular de Estágio I do 1.º ano da Licenciatura em Fisioterapia, este desafio envolveu:

👥 20 estudantes + 2 docentes
📷 12 fotografias originais que ilustram, com criatividade e sentido crítico, como o ambiente físico pode influenciar a mobilidade e a autonomia ao longo do processo de envelhecimento.

🌍 As fotografias foram apresentadas hoje, 8 de setembro, no evento internacional online, com instituições parceiras de vários países, numa celebração global do papel transformador da Fisioterapia.

Na ESSALCOITÃO, celebramos o movimento, a inclusão e a formação de fisioterapeutas para um mundo mais saudável e acessível!
