Freshly baked breads, colourful salads, rich risotto , homemade desserts, and more flavours than we could count. 🌿✨

Today’s REC community lunch at NUA was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds.

Plates were piled high, then filled again. Conversations flowed as easily as the drinks. Strangers became friends, and every corner of the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and people asking, “Have you tried this yet?”

The best part? Everything was vegetarian and vegan. Proof that plant-based food can be vibrant, satisfying, and packed with flavour. You certainly don’t need to be vegetarian to enjoy food this good.

A beautiful afternoon of connection, community, and delicious food that left everyone talking long after the last dessert was served.

Sometimes the most meaningful connections begin with a simple “hello.”

Last night, our community gathered around the table at cafe and eatery in Funchal, and what started as dinner became so much more.

There were warm welcomes, genuine conversations, plenty of laughter, and the kind of smiles that remind us how important it is to connect with one another.

We watched strangers become friends, stories being shared, and new connections forming over delicious, authentic Arabic flavours. Moments like these are what community is all about.

We’re also proud to support local businesses that bring something special to Madeira. A huge thank you to cafe and eatery for hosting us and for sharing such a wonderful dining experience. As a brand-new business in Funchal, they welcomed us with open arms, great food, and incredible hospitality.

Because when we support local businesses, we’re not just buying a meal—we’re helping dreams grow and communities thrive.

Community is like finding your people. ❤️

Our hangouts remind us that some of the best moments in life are the simplest ones: sharing a sunset, enjoying a cold beer, having good conversations, and connecting with people who quickly feel like friends.

A huge thank you to Mini Eco Container for hosting us in such a beautiful setting. The sea views, golden evening skies, and relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect place to come together.

Whether you’ve lived in Madeira for years or have only just arrived, community grows one conversation, one shared experience, and one friendship at a time.

🍣 COMMUNITY DINNER AT IKURA SAKE 🍜

What a beautiful evening of connection, conversations and community ❤️

Living or visiting Madeira is about so much more than stunning landscapes and ocean views. It’s about finding people, places and moments that make you feel like you belong.

For many people, moving to a different country can feel exciting, unfamiliar and sometimes lonely. Events like these remind us how important community truly is. Around one dinner table, strangers became friends, stories were shared, cultures mixed and meaningful connections were created ✨

From sushi to poke bowls, ramen to teriyaki chicken — the food was incredible, the company even better and the atmosphere full of warmth and laughter.

A huge thank you to Ikura Sake in Machico for hosting us and for being part of building a stronger local community. Supporting small businesses while bringing people together is something we deeply value.
