“What I’m most grateful for is that my son survived. He’s what I live for.”

In Gaza, Shorouq, 25, once ran a hair salon. One night, the building she was in was struck by an Israeli missile. She lost her legs, and with them the life she had built. Today she raises her three-year-old from a tent, and her mother cares for them both.

Due to Israel's war on Gaza, many forcibly displaced young women and their families are struggling to access basic health and support services.
Through outreach activities, جمعية عبد الشافي الصحية والمجتمعية ACHA is reaching people directly in displacement camps, especially those who cannot easily travel to receive care. The outreach teams brought essential health and psychosocial support directly to women and families in displacement camps. Bringing care closer to people is essential to protecting dignity, health, and wellbeing in . Activities implemented under MARKAZ project in partnership with and Enabel in Palestine and funded by the Belgian Government.
