The truce in Gaza, or the ceasefire agreement, different terms are used, yet the issue is not what it is called, but whether it truly exists.

The agreement that was announced in October 2025 to end the war has remained little more than a media narrative. The bombing has never stopped, and death continues to claim lives, with around 1,000 Palestinians killed under the cover of the so-called ceasefire.

It is not only killing, bombardment, and destruction that haunt Palestinians in Gaza, but also the ongoing closure of border crossings, the obstruction of humanitarian aid, and the collapse of the healthcare system
The tents remain as they are. Indeed, they continue to multiply as more land is stolen from Gaza with the expansion of the “Yellow Line.”
As the tents increase, so do the pain and the hardships…
الهدنة في غزة أو اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار.. مصطلحات ومسميات عديدة، ليس الاختلاف في طبيعتها، بل الاختلاف في مدى وجودها، فالاتفاق الذي أبرم لوقف النار في أكتوبر 2025، لا يعدو كونه حديث إعلامي، فالنار لم تتوقف لحظة.. والموت يتواصل ليلاحق 1000 فلسطيني قتلوا تحت غطاء الهدنة.
ليس القتل والقصف والنسف ما يلاحق الفلسطينيين في غزة، بل استمرار إغلاق المعابر ومنع تدفق المساعدات، وانهيار المنظومة الصحية والطبية.
ما تزال الخيام على حالها، بل تزيد مع زيادة المساحة المسروقة من غزة مع تمدد الخط الأصفر.
لا تزيد تلك الخيام فقط، بل تزيد معها الآلام والأوجاع.

Youssef al-Hindi, from northern Gaza City, speaks about the "My Story" project, which targets 120 mothers and their children in a creative psychological experience aimed at processing the trauma experienced by children and women during the war on Gaza.

The project involves participants sharing their stories and experiences during the war, then transforming these stories into puppets that express and embody their experiences. It also includes training participants in crafting the puppets from leftover materials, so that each puppet becomes a personal narrative, reviving memories and transforming them into a tangible, creative work.
يوسف الهندي، من شمال مدينة غزة، يتحدث عن مشروع "قصتي"، الذي يستهدف 120 أمًا وأطفالهن ضمن تجربة نفسية إبداعية تهدف إلى تفريغ الصدمات التي عاشها الأطفال والنساء خلال الحرب على غزة.

ويقوم المشروع على سرد المشاركين لقصصهم وتجاربهم خلال الحرب، ثم تحويل هذه القصص إلى دمى تعبّر عنها وتُجسّد تفاصيلها. كما يتضمن تدريب المشاركين على صناعة الدمى من بقايا المواد الصلبة، بحيث يصبح كل مجسم حاملًا لقصة شخصية تعيد إحياء الذاكرة وتحولها إلى عمل إبداعي ملموس.

Daoud Eid, 19, displaced from Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, lost both his legs when a war remnant exploded while he was inspecting his home on Masoud Street in Gaza City. Today, he dreams of receiving prosthetic limbs that will help him move again, so he can continue his education and move forward with his life.

The name “Shem” carries shared religious and historical significance, as it is attributed to Shem, son of Noah, one of the sons of the Prophet Noah (peace be upon him), who is mentioned in Islam, Christianity, and Judaism as one of the survivors of the Flood. “Shem” is one of the few names common to the three Abrahamic religions, bearing a shared religious heritage. The concept of “Semites” is derived from the name “Shem,” a term used to refer to the group of peoples descended from Shem, son of Noah, which later encompassed a wide range of populations in the Middle East.

Fahd Abu Haikal, from Hebron, recounts how he, his wife, and their infant son were shot by Israeli occupation forces, resulting in injuries to himself and his wife, and the death of their seven-month-old son, Shem.

The infant, Shem, was shot in the face, while his mother was also shot and remains in intensive care. His father, Fahd, was shot in the hand.

يحمل اسم “سام” دلالة دينية وتاريخية مشتركة، إذ يُنسب إلى سام بن نوح، أحد أبناء النبي نوح عليه السلام، الذي يرد ذكره في الدين الإسلامي والمسيحي واليهودي باعتباره من الناجين من الطوفان. ويُعد “سام” من الأسماء القليلة التي تلتقي عندها الديانات السماوية الثلاث، وتحمل إرثًا دينيًا مشتركًا. ُو يشتق من اسم “سام” مفهوم “الساميين”، وهو مصطلح يُستخدم للإشارة إلى مجموعة الشعوب التي تنحدر من نسل سام بن نوح، وشملت لاحقًا شعوبًا واسعة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.

فهد أبو هيكل، من مدينة الخليل، يتحدث عن تعرضه وزوجته وطفله الرضيع لإطلاق نار من قبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، ما أدى إلى إصابته وإصابة زوجته، واستشهاد طفلهما سام البالغ من العمر سبعة أشهر.

Ibrahim Shallouf, 22, displaced from Rafah to Khan Younis, is deaf. He lost his hearing in 2004 when an Israeli airstrike targeted his neighbors’ house in Rafah, when he was just a few months old.
Ibrahim found in drawing a way to express himself and communicate with others through colors, making his talent an outlet in the face of the challenges he lives with. He also seeks to invest his skills in handicrafts to secure a source of income that will help him support himself and his family in these difficult living conditions.

إبراهيم شلوف (22 عامًا)، نازح من مدينة رفح إلى خان يونس، من ذوي الإعاقة السمعية. فقد سمعه إثر قصف إسرائيلي استهدف منزل جيرانه في رفح عام 2004، عندما كان لا يزال رضيعًا لا يتجاوز عمره بضعة أشهر.
وجد إبراهيم في الرسم وسيلة للتعبير عن ذاته والتواصل مع الآخرين عبر الألوان، وجعل من موهبته متنفسًا في مواجهة التحديات التي يعيشها. كما يسعى إلى استثمار مهاراته في الأعمال والمشغولات اليدوية لتأمين مصدر دخل يساعده على إعالة نفسه ومساندة عائلته في ظل الظروف المعيشية الصعبة.

Mohammed Aliwa, 23, from Gaza City, was injured on November 9, 2018, resulting in the amputation of his right leg. He was a football player before his injury, and afterwards joined amputee football teams, successfully forming one with his teammates.
Today, Mohammed and his teammates face significant challenges due to a lack of resources, particularly in obtaining prosthetic limbs and crutches, which limits their ability to train and continue playing.
محمد عليوة (23 عامًا)، يتحدث من مدينة غزة، أُصيب بتاريخ 9/11/2018 ما أدى إلى بتر قدمه اليمنى. كان لاعب كرة قدم قبل الإصابة، وبعدها التحق بفرق كرة القدم الخاصة بمبتوري الأطراف، ونجح مع زملائه في تأسيس فريق.
اليوم، يواجه محمد وزملاؤه تحديات كبيرة تتعلق بنقص الإمكانيات، خصوصًا في توفير الأطراف الصناعية والعكازات، ما يحدّ من قدرتهم على التدريب والاستمرار.
