Project Kick-Off | Integrated and Harmonized Master Plan for Sanitation Services, Water Transfer and Reuse in the West Bank

PWEG – Palestinian Wastewater Engineers Group, as Lead Partner, in partnership with HYDRO NOVA S.r.l. (Italy), officially commenced the implementation of the project for the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA), with financing from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

The project will develop an Integrated and Harmonized Master Plan for Sanitation Services, Water Transfer and Reuse in the West Bank, supporting sustainable and coordinated planning across sanitation sector.

The Kick-Off Meeting, held at PWA headquarters, marked the beginning of this strategic initiative and a significant step towards more sustainable and resilient water and sanitation services in the West Bank.

بلدية البيرة وجمعية مهندسي المياه والصرف الصحي تبحثان تطوير مشاريع الصرف الصحي في المدينة

استقبل رئيس بلدية البيرة المهندس منيف طريش، رئيس جمعية مهندسي المياه والصرف الصحي المهندس منذر هند، حيث جرى بحث سبل التعاون لتطوير مشاريع الصرف الصحي في مدينة البيرة.

وتناول اللقاء أولويات العمل في قطاع الصرف الصحي، بما يشمل تحسين كفاءة محطة التنقية، وتوسعة شبكات الصرف الصحي، إلى جانب بحث آليات الاستفادة من الخبرات الفنية والهندسية التي تمتلكها الجمعية لدعم مشاريع البلدية المستقبلية.

وأكد الجانبان أهمية تعزيز التعاون والتنسيق المشترك بما يسهم في تطوير البنية التحتية، والارتقاء بخدمات الصرف الصحي، وتحسين مستوى الخدمات المقدمة للمواطنين، ضمن رؤية المجلس البلدي لتطوير المرافق والخدمات الأساسية في المدينة.

The Palestinian Wastewater Engineers Group (PWEG), as the Lead Partner of the “Mediterranean initiative to Regenerate wastewater Sludges for Optimal Use toward a Circular Economy – MedRESOURCE”, is pleased to announce a call for Consultancy Services for Soil and Agronomic Analysis in Palestine and Jordan.

Within the framework of the Interreg NEXT MED Programme 2021–2027, PWEG invites eligible and qualified consulting firms to submit their tenders.

🤝 Strengthening Cooperation for Sustainable Wastewater Sludge Management in Palestine

As part of its commitment to advancing circular economy solutions and sustainable environmental governance, the MedRESOURCE Project held a productive meeting with the Palestinian Water Sector Regulatory Council (WSRC) in Ramallah.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between technical institutions, regulators, and stakeholders to support the safe and sustainable management of wastewater sludge and promote evidence-based decision-making in the water sector.

Discussions also explored opportunities for future collaboration in awareness-raising, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge-sharing activities, contributing to national priorities for environmental protection and resource efficiency.

Through its multi-stakeholder approach, MedRESOURCE continues to bring together experts, public institutions, and regulatory bodies to advance sustainable water and environmental management practices across the Mediterranean region.
