The right to education is one of the basic rights guaranteed by most international and regional conventions and treaties. This right is mentioned in several articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Wome
n, and other sources of international humanitarian law and international human rights law. Al-Adnan stresses the importance of the right to education as a basic right for the enjoyment of all human rights. Al-Adnan believes that the right to education can only be fully enjoyed in a climate of freedom from occupation and enjoyment of academic freedom and the independence of Palestinian higher education institutions. Al-Adnan aims to reach a situation in which education in Palestine is compulsory and free at all stages, and to remove any kind of discrimination in access to education on the basis of religion, gender, color, or disability, and to make higher education possible with a measure of justice and equality, in addition to work. To develop a distinguished educational curriculum that fits the spirit of the age and takes into account human rights standards and the principles of justice, peace, and equity.
