As part of Masarat Project for Women’s Economic Empowerment,
The Family Development Association, in partnership with the Women’s Studies Centre, implemented a community initiative that included a meeting with the Hebron Municipality, represented by Municipal Council Member Dr. Sara Al-Shammas and Haneen Wazwaz from the Public Relations Department. The meeting brought together a number of women to discuss their needs and development priorities and to strengthen their role at the local level.
The meeting provided a space for dialogue on the key challenges facing women in the Haret Al-Sheikh area of Hebron and explored ways to integrate their needs into the municipality’s plans and programmes.
This initiative is part of the activities of the “Masarat” Project, implemented by the Women’s Studies Centre in partnership with partner and targeted organisations in the Hebron Governorate. The project aims to strengthen women’s economic and social empowerment, expand their participation in public life, and build effective partnerships with local authorities, contributing to inclusive and sustainable development that responds to women’s needs.
The “Masarat” Project is implemented with the support of the Women’s Fund of the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD).
