Permaculture & Palestine will host a second video conference where several Palestinian-led projects will present their work and share their needs.

Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Arabic, French, Italian and Spanish through the Language For Justice (LFJ) - an initiative breaking down language barriers to dismantle systemic inequity. The Arabic English interpretation will be conducted by Palestinian interpreters trained by LFJ and who will present their work.

Translated captions of dozens of languages will also be available.

Aside from discussing practical support, we may be fortunate to have George Kouchakji join the call. George is a 95 year-old survivor of the Nakba, and he will share a bit about his life and his book "Struggle for Survival: A Palestinian Refugee in Diaspora tells his story”, which is available in both English and German and is being sold as a fundraiser for the Palestinian Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability.

A training called “Organising with Front Line Communities - Migrant Specific” is currently taking place in Catalunya, Spain. The training includes around 40 participants from organisations around Europe who are here to “Navigate the complex terrain of migrant and migrant-solidarity organising.” https://ulexproject.org/courses_events/organising-flcommunities-ms-2025/

This in-person and online conversation compliments last month’s “Practical Support For Palestine” call, but will have the focus on how to support Palestinians and Palestinian solidarity projects here in Europe. We will be joined on the call by at least three Palestinian permaculturalists. There will not be simultaneous language interpretation on the call, but there will be translated captions in many languages. Please feel free to share this event in your networks!

We want to share with you some of the projects and key info: First up is Arab Group for Protection of Nature. Please read below for some words from and details of how you can get involved.

AGRICULTURE IS RESISTANCE AND LIFE 

Despite the 18 year-blockade, Gaza has consistently achieved self-sufficiency in various agricultural products

We responded to farmers looking to cultivate lands in face of genocide (following our previous work in Gaza)

We hold firm to the belief that Gaza's agricultural sector can regain its vitality

To each and every one of the 680,000 Palestinians who have been martyred in the Israeli and imperial genocide, and to each and every one who endures and rebuilds, you are the heart of our green resistance

Scope for Immediate Action:
Mobilize to support Revive Gaza's Farmland:

Fundraise and raise awareness via professional, artistic, academic, media platforms, etc.

。 Coordinate with us to work and call for sovereign revival of Gaza's food sytem as part of ending Israeli genocide, ecocide, and settler-colonialism.

Expose enablement and complicity in agricultural networks via position papers and research.

。 Investigate supply chains, academic ties, funding flows, e.g., Israeli "climate-smart" agri-tech repurposing military technology.
